| Our next tournament at Endgame in Oakland is on February 11.
Unlike the last one, this is a 12-figure limit tournament (we'll have plenty of time for 8 figures after March). We will play on the Magma Keep map.
What: 200 pt DCI sanctioned tournament
Fig Limit: 12-figure limit
Map: Magma Keep
When: 2/11/06
Start Time: 12 noon
Where: Endgame Oakland
Directions: www.endgameoakland.com
We had 10 show up last time and that's with some regulars not showing up. So come out. I anticipate another good turnout.

| Hey! 12 figure was your first environment. You shouldn't go bad-mouthing it just because you've moved on to a hotter, younger environment. She still deserves some respect, even if she is a little overweight in terms of figures ...

| Hmmm... If Ian and John aren't showing up... and Derry crashes on his way to Oakland (I think it's a long drive for him)... and maybe some of the other regulars get sick (I just recovered from a cold so there's a lower probability of me being sick)... and... and...
I'll have a reasonable chance of doing well!!
Yes! I will be there! My luck still hasn't run out yet!... Though I recall losing miserably in my last two games (to derry and glen)... first time losing twice in a row... (bad omen?)

| Guess what? FUNNY STORY...
Yesterday, I just got rear-ended by an old lady who was in turn pushed into me by an adolescent behind her. The adolescent must have been going over 90 to have done such heavy damage to me indirectly...
My insurance had just expired the day before... I kid you not... (and I had forgotten about the 1 month grace period)
so needless to say I was too distressed to see the karmic irony of the situation until Derry pointed out, "You jinxed yourself by praying for me to crash before the tournament on maxminis..."
Fear Derry's gods of vengeance!
(Oh yeah... and there's a chance I won't be able to make it to the tournament now since my ride will be in repair. It makes noises when I make sharp turns...)

I have a mandatory viva tomorrow at 4:30 pm at Berkeley... I highly doubt that the tourney can be finished in 4 hours or less. (Less than 4 hours if we take 30 min of prep time and start at 12:30pm...)

But the problem is getting ahold of the darned minis I want to play..I could play this other warband..kinda oldschool but not as fun as what I want to play! So maybe! I could play if someone were to lend me like..umm..the whole warband other than a few fodder peices now that I think of it.. hehe ;)

If you drop at the end of a round, before pairings are done before the next round, you don't take a loss in a ratings hit sense, yeah. | |

I don't think that's correct, my friend. Synecdoche wanted to drop before one of the rounds in the GenCon Sealed. I think it was when he got that bad draft. But he had to drop and take his next match as a loss. I believe it is expressly there to prevent people from dropping without consequence in a sanctioned tourney. I could be wrong, so maybe Derry or Guy should give us verification on that. | |
