| I just phoned my friends to get an update. I only got limited information and no current standings but here are some things I do know.
Ack is 4-0 Charles Schroder is 4-0 Boyce is running dual Steel Predators and is 3-1 John Zink is 3-1 Pat Coyle is 3-1
I don't know what builds they are using but I asked them to call me later with more news.

| | From the sound of it I'd say its 90% likely that they were the only two undefeated. | | Member of Team Amish 3rd Place in 2007 Constructed World Championship My combined DDM Skirmish record of all games ever played in all formats. 486 - 188 - 4 | |

| Since Ack started 4-0 and now does not show up even among the 3-3's, can we assume he dropped? I recall that he was unlikely to got to Gencon. I wonder if he got to 5-0 before he dropped? Does anyone know?
Don't forget the data, NJ players[:)].

| Apparently there was a mistake in what warbands were in the top four. My friend John Zink, who is now in the finals, gave me the correct information. My other friend gave me erroneous information.
John defeated Charles and is awaiting the outcome of the other match. | | Member of Team Amish 3rd Place in 2007 Constructed World Championship My combined DDM Skirmish record of all games ever played in all formats. 486 - 188 - 4

| I was blown out of my shoes when I saw the original band posted for Dan... I play against him pretty often, and though he plays a lot of LE, I was pretty sure he was going to bring Marut/Couatl/Ballista... then I saw the CE band and I was really surprised.
Thanks for running down all the info for us though Chad | | Champion of Tanis Half-Elven

| I just got the call:
John Zink (Ruhk69) was the winner with this warband:
Urthok Duergar Champion x2 Zakya Rakshasa x2 Snig and 3 Goblin Skirmishers Kobold Miner Timber Wolf
He defeated Jared Bruno (Harmonizer) who was running Sword Archon, SW x5
For those who don't know John, he and I are best friends. He is the one who first introduced me to D&D back in 1978. We have played DDM together for the past 2 years. Congratulations John! I hope your wife lets you fly to Gen Con now. | | Member of Team Amish 3rd Place in 2007 Constructed World Championship My combined DDM Skirmish record of all games ever played in all formats. 486 - 188 - 4

| | The interesting thing is I was trying my best to disuade him from running that band because it was mostly geared toward defeating sacred watchers and wouldn't do so good against the rest of the field. As it turns out thats all he faced in the finals. | | So LG is still firmly entrenched at the top. This helps LE keep up with CE which is a neck and neck race. I can't beleive we have nothing from PA yet. Chad did you hear where Ack ended up? or was he mislabeled at 4-0? | | Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat. | |

| Thanks Guys! Well, except Phrank and Jesse - who were chearing on Charles... :)
I can only say that I learned today just how much luck there is involved in winning a qualifier. There were many more talented players there than me. I have a ton of respect for Charles and his game. He was the best player there today.

| | I am beginning to wonder about Ack myself. The first post was word of mouth and not off of the standings sheet so it is possible it was misreported. Hopefully Ack will clear this up himself. | | Member of Team Amish 3rd Place in 2007 Constructed World Championship My combined DDM Skirmish record of all games ever played in all formats. 486 - 188 - 4 | |

| Chad, according to the printout of final standings, Ack (James Boyle) had 2 wins--6 pts and finished 16th.
John, if I couldn't win, I'm so glad you did! I remember last year and how we were both trying to prepare for Quals and I got in and you didn't--mixed day for me when you didn't get in. Also, I'd like to say I had some influence on you sticking to your guns on your warband even though it came back to haunt me [:D]
Also, John, don't discount your gameplay. We all need luck and I certainly felt that I was being challenged by a great group of guys and that you deserved 1st and Jared deserved 2nd. Congrats my friend! | | Charles AKA The Beardless One, Proud Member of Team Amish

I appreciate that, Charles. It's funny that I ended up playing the only 2 people there that I've played on Vassal (you and Jared). You actually did influence me, because I realized that I came there most of all to have fun and my band was something I knew I'd like playing (win or lose). So, I owe you many thanks (along with a thanks to the dice gods for the failed morale check on the beholder in round 4 [:D]) | | The Waterboy. Proud member of Team Amish.

| 2-3 and drop. I played my best game against KC10 driver (Matt Berry) and lost after being tied every round from 157 to 197 iirc. it was an incredible match of equal skill.
after that, I apparenlty just stopped caring and didnt do well. *shrug*

Thanks!
I felt comfortable enough with the +12 that I would rally if I failed the MC. Not the best of chances, but I knew I'd get a couple rounds with them most likely given the odd number of HP (65). Almost every time they ended up at 35 at the end of a round and I got more attacks out of them. The Spell Resist and AC 22 helped some too. Getting off True Stike and Chill Touches on the Sacred Watchers made them more than worth it. | | The Waterboy. Proud member of Team Amish.
