| Glen Burnie anyone?
I know that this is my last Qualifier... and several other "Team Amish" players will be there, Charles Schroder (The Beardless One), Patrick (The Mascot) but who else is planning on going to this event?
Please remember to post your warband and map as well - this is to provide me the most benifit - as it seems I cannot win a qual without some cheating... Oh yeah there are no Duergar allowed at this event and nothing else with Conceal or Incorp and No Monk warbands...
Remember to post clearly your name, warband and map.

But I'm a little disappointed in the "no conceal" rule.

As stated, I'll be there! If I don't qualify, I'm thinking of going to Florida as well. I made it in through the Grinder last year, and that was a tough experience. | |

Well, sure, I have a shot...I could roll 20s all day like Daniel has a habit of doing. [:)] Seriously, I haven't come up with a good warband concept yet (and I really don't want to just blindly copy someone else's concept), so I obviously haven't had any practice with whatever I end up bringing on Saturday. I might get lucky and take the whole tournament, but most likely I'll end up like 2-4 because I won't figure out how to really play my band until the 3rd or 4th game.
While I'm thinking about it, what time does the tourney start? If it's a late enough start, I'm thinking that I might try to get there early to get in a test game or two before the games are officially recorded. | |

It starts at 11:00, according to their webpage. I'm going to try to get there by 10:00 (means leaving at 7:00am from my house. Ugh.), but I'll be looking for practice at that time too...

| Not seeing many entries listing peoples names/warbands/and maps??? How am I supposed to playtest if I don't know what is gonna be there?
Remember - nothing with Conceal!! & No Monks!

I am wondering if I should change the Brady Bunch at all or go with it the way it is... The Monk band beat me because all the girls were all stunned @ the end of the 2nd round! Every other loss was due to Failed Conceal! Every Loss - that is the only factor. What can you do about bad dice rolls? (play constructs with blindsight) but what can you do about bad dice...

| Hehe. Ban what you need. That is ok, because another rule for this qualifier is that any one who beats me is automatically disqualifed. Therefore I will be playing my 8 Human Commoner band on a random map. The nasty part of this rule is that my opponents are not allowed to conceed before the match. So on the off chance I don't roll all natural 20's and my opponent's don't roll all natural 1's there is a risk of disqualification.
Now back to reality. I will be there, but as Charles can tell you I won't make a decsion until the last second on what I am playing and even then I will probably change my mind at least twice.
Of course now that you posted this I have to throw a "blurred" Gith monk band into the mix of bands I'm considering. Pfthppt :p

| I will be at the Maryland qualifier.. but I wont be competing (not that it was a worry). I will be judging the event. Yes, seriously.
And since Im judging, I cant trade with anyone.. but thats okay cause I just finished all sets thru Wardrums. WOOT!!
But I will probably bring my box and have the band I was GOING to play with me in case its quiet, people want to play a "losers tourney" or if theres enough time to play the guy with the bye or something. Or hell, if someone forgets their band, they can borrow mine.. tho it wont be winning any tourneys without a "20s all Day" strategy.
PS: If I had easy access to a Medusa right now I would have brought Gaze All Day to play in the qualifier. Pat Lynch would have tried to have me shot to protect my DCI rating from myself tho. | |

Ed told Patrick, a Team Amish member, that the store was opening at 10 am and that registration would begin then. Games start at 11 am. I had the same concern as you Mo as I had thought the store normally opened at 11 am. See you tomorrow! I have faced your ponies and I will be ready![:D] | |

| The latest news I got from Ed, the owner, is that he'll be opening at 10:30 am, possibly earlier if the store is ready on time, but I'd plan for 10:30 am. If you get there early, there is a little plaza across from the store--I'm not sure what would be open at that time however. There's a sub shop, Vietnamese restaurant and that's all I remember.
For my Virginia pals, best of luck with the Wilson Bridge!
