| Team Amish - going into the 6th round had, Patrick and Charles and myself all 4-1... I got paired up with Konor (Couatl, Kord, Ballista) who played very well!! He had beat each of us today - in the end we all lost and had 4-2 records...
Charles being a good sport dropped prior to the final cut - so as not to knock one of us out!! (good sport - since he already qual'd in NJ)
Patrick ended up with the final spot with the 4-2 entry! Then beat his way past Konor and made it to a final match vs Daniel (Tick)...
I was very happy to see John (FRY) make top 4 as well! Another local VA player!
Thanks ACK for being a great judge! And the store for the pizza, for everyone's lunch... | | Winter Fantasy, Wardrums Pre-release Champion

| Hey guys!
Daniel and I ended up agreeing to a prize split. A plane ticket from Brazil is worth a good amount more than a plane ticket from Virginia, so it made a lot of sense to come up with a deal. We came to a fair resolution, and I dropped, giving Daniel first! Here's to hoping WoTC holds up and does in fact send him. He had email confirmation from them that if he won, they'd pay for that long flight. Hope to see you Daniel, and everyone else, at GenCon!
Thanks again to Ed (store owner / TO) for running a good tourney. Their new store is quite large, and he was attentive to our needs. The store ordered in pizza (part of the admission price) and chipped in some extra boosters, I believe, to the prizes.
Also thanks to Ack for judging! As far as I could tell, there really were no problems. He was very professional, kept things moving, and it worked out great. Here's to real judging! I felt much better knowing that someone we trusted was in charge.
I'll try and work up a full tournament report tomorrow, but for right now, I'm pretty beat. Good luck to everyone else in the remaining quals!

| no one commenting on the Promos we had to give out?? Small Fire Elementals from WDQ!! w00t. The owner had a unique way to give out the 8 we had.. first critical hit and first critical miss (in combat) during a specific round. The last 2 we gave out were for the two players with the lowest standings at the end of 6 rounds. There wasnt going to be any prize support for them.. so I decided that for sticking it out 6 rounds, they would get something for hanging in there.
Thanks for the players. I only blew 1 ruling all day.. but it wasnt catastrophic. Ed has a great store and hosted a great event with a good group of folks. Im really glad I made the trip down to judge the event. And Im really awed by the power of SWarm piloted by a good player.
I collected all the paperwork for the day, recorded all maps that all the matches took place on and have all the warband sheets. I handed out literally a half dozen verbal warnings for errors on the warband sheets (math, forgetting a cost, etc) and still managed to miss a mistake in warband building. I knew I should have brought my laptop and built them all with Bifurs to verify. But it was very very minor and wasnt even brought to my attention til after the games had completed.
As always, it was great to see all the folks from here / WF / in the community. I'd list them all.. but would miss someone. Mad props to Daniel for not resigning and for making a called Crit. I think it went something like "sacred watcher sw.. er. no. Im going to move with the Sword Archon first cause Im going to crit" *rolls* "AND I DO!!!" Fry: "I knew I should have tried harder to get you to resign last round"
Now lets see if Wizards comes thru with the ticket for Daniel from the nearest major airport (San Paolo? Rio?) | | Minis... Serious Business Completed Trades (18 ) | Pending Trades (0) Ebay seller to Avoid –Fantasy_Quest_Dist

| My son and I had a great time. Ack was a great judge and the store was excelent.
I ended up in 7th place going 4-2. My worst match was against Fry. I don't know why but I made more mistakes in that game then I did in all the other games combined.
Hope to see all of you at GenCon in 2 months. | | Champion of the Rust Monster Proud Member of Team Amish | |
