Suppose some TO posted an advertisement along these lines:

"Bring your Drider Sorcerer! A non-sanctioned, 200-point Constructed event, otherwise following all the rules. Sign up at 11:30, dice roll at noon."

So, suppose someone did this. Would you go? Would you build a Drider band? (Suppose the advertisement is made after GenCon, so you don't have to ruin your brain thinking about otherwise illegal bands in the meantime.)

If I actually had one I would go(assuming the tournament was local or very, very close). Why ya ask?

Curiosity, mostly. I'm always looking to stir things up in my local scene, and I use maxminis as a sounding board. If a bunch of people here say "yes," to an idea, then I might try it locally. If a bunch of people say "no," then I probably will pass over it.

I just used my drider recently in league play. The month was anything goes - meaning anything my opponent and I agree to is considered a "legal" game. One of our league players in particular likes to mix things up so we can play with figures rarely used. We've had "all black and white" games meaning only the first four sets. Quick strike games.

If it was in my area I'd be there but I think I'd had some Spellscales to counterspell. Nothing like making the easy kill stay by me. [}:)]

I would ONLY IF the time limits were changed. I play a drider every so often in the Eternal Campaign, and find it takes a long time to use properly. And yes, I'd bring a single or multiple drider band most likely!
