So we had our weekly tournament on Thursday, and being the first Thursday of the month it was an epic tournament. I opted to play:

Aspect of Bahamut
Couatl
Warweaver
Spellscale Sorcerer
Dwarf Artificer
Sacred Watcher x3
Teleport Temple

I had also been considering a dual slaughterstone eviscerator band, but CR 8, two 60 damage bws at dc 26, conceal, ac 29, and high attack bonuses were just too much to pass up. The sacred watchers would serve as tile grabbers on TPT since being incorporeal they can go wherever they darn well pleased on this map. The warweaver would serve to magic weapon them and allow them to do some damage (although they were mostly supposed to be speed bumps in case I fought multiple godslayers or something). The spell scale would serve to blur bahamut and hopefully protect him from a 50 damage tordek swing or two.

Round 1: Chris B. (lazierthanyou)

Chris had a LG band consisting of:

Warpriest of Moradin
Cleric of Syreth
Epic Slaughterstone Eviscerator
Epic Golden Protectar
Warweaver
Meepo
Lantern Bearer
Warforged Scout
Unknown Map

I won map and side init (this would be a theme for the night) and chose the good side of the teleport temple. I don't really remember who won first round init, but it wasn't too important. My warweaver magic weaponed the three sacred watchers and moved out, while the spellscale sorcerer blurred Big B and followed the warweaver. Chris also magic weaponed some stuff with his warweaver, and cast LSoF with the cleric of syreth. My dwarf artificer cast GMW on Big B and one of the sacred watchers went to attack his warforged scout but missed. He then shuffled some stuff around, but still hadn't presented me with a particular good bw target. I used another sacred watcher to go after the warforged scout, but missed again. The last watcher went and grabbed tile points near his start area so that next round he could fly through the wall and join the beatdown on the WFS. He moved his stuff out and took a couple of swings with the scout, actually managing to hit once iirc. But he wasn't able to get anything on a teleporter. Big B moved onto the teleporter along the long edge of the board closest to my start area, while the couatl occupied the teleporter just on the otherside of the wall of my start area.

Round 2 I won init, and after looking at things I decided there just wasn't the opportunity to get a good bw off. So I passed and let him go first. I think he used his lantern bearer to grab the teleporter in the far lower right corner, the one that has another one just on the other side of the wall. I think he also moved his golden protectar onto a teleporter and teleported into the middleish of the board. I did the normal LSoF with my artificer and then proceeded to try and kill that silly WFS or at least rout him. I managed to hit 1/3 attacks (for a total of 1/5 so far) in two phases. I believe he then used the warpriest of moradin to cast diefic vengence, and beat incorp, but I think I made the save. His warforged then missed a couple of attacks. We didn't really do much till the end of the round when I moved bahamut to go after the golden protectar hitting an attack and then a SS for 70 damage, but he made morale. Up to this point we'd both scored 50 tile pts and the game was more or less even, although I was in a somewhat better tactical position.

Round 3 Chris won init and teleported his protectar to breathe on the couatl and Big B. Both made their saves, so only Bahamut took any damage. He then tried to swift heal, but my Spellscale Sorcerer countered it. This allowed me to kill the protectar with a bahamut attack and snake swiftness. But before that could happen the slaughterstone eviscerator teleported in where the golden protectar had been and attacked bahamut 4 times, missing once due to conceal and once due to high ac and only dealing 30 damage. I could live with that. I took the aoo from the eviscerator and went to polish off the lammasu wannabe, although before I did that I think I rotated my sacred watchers so that the one that had taken the first deific vengeance wouldn't take the second and die. Meepo ended up coming in and hitting my couatl twice (once with SS). My sacred watchers were finally able to get the second hit on the WFS to force morale and I think he failed and ran off the board. The cleric of syreth took a shot at a sacred watcher with his crossbow and hit. My spellscale tried to enfeeble the eviscerator but failed SR and my artificer slowly made his way towards the eviscerator looking for an opportunity to rust it.

The last couple rounds were me picking off things and making sure bahamut didn't have to roll morale (a 1 woulda sucked). I think bahamut ate meepo and then used his line to obliterate the warweaver. I somehow also managed to kill the the warpriest of moradin (maybe we played a total of 6 rounds). His slaughterstone ended up mauling my spellscale sorcerer but that was ok. I think I also ended up losing a sacred watcher or two. At the end of the game I think he had the epic slaughterstone eviscerator and cleric of syreth left so it woulda been something like 424 to 124 in my favor.

Round 2 vs Garrett

Cleric of Dol Arrah
Sword Archon
Epic Tordek
Couatl
Warweaver
Justice Archon
Dwarf Artificer
Hill Dwarf Warrior
Hellspike Prison

Again I won map and set up init and chose the good side. Round 1 was us moving out, I set up almost exactly the same as the first game, the only difference being that instead of sending a pair of watchers off to try and kill a WFS they just grabbed teleporters. I didn't feel like doing the dimension hop + first turn bw since that would put me at risk of two tordek hits and a couple more SS attacks plus the sword archon. He moved out and there was a nice line set up for me on round 2. He didn't get tile points, I did.

Round 2 I won init, teleported bahamut and used the line to hit the sword archon, Coda, couatl, and warweaver. Everything failed leading to death except for the sword archon who I finished off with a SS from my couatl. I picked up a nice 200 pts or so and prevented him from getting off the snake swiftnesses. His JA moved to a teleporter and one of my sacred watchers harrassed him dealing a bit of damage. Tordek smacked bahamut for 50 but then the spellscale hit tordek over the head with the nerf bat. Up to this point, I was 4/4 on inits with CR 8 vs CR 7 so I was bound to continue winning init now that it was CR 8 vs nothing right?

Wrong. I lost init round 3 and tordek swung away at Big B, but only managed to hit once for 45. The JA then teleported in and managed to roll something suitable high and beat conceal putting big b 5 away from MC. Yay for nerfage. One of my sacred watchers moved into flank tordek (I was willing to sacrfice one for the extra bonuses to hit). Bahamut routed the archon with a +19 attack, and then hit tordek three times thanks to a pair of SS. My other two sacred watchers went after his HDW and artificer. So back to init...

Which I lost again. :P Tordek smashed the sacred watcher but missed the cleave due to conceal and his 2nd attack as well. Bahamut then chowed down on tordek and tordek failed his morale save due to the aura of fear after a Melfs Acid Arrow from the spellscale which allowed bahamut an aoo, but he wasn't quite able to make it off the board. Tordek was now down to 115 hp left.

Round 5 I lost init for the third time in a row with CR 8 vs nothing and tordek was able to rally. Darn his independence. I moved bahamut and another sacred watcher to flank tordek and hit a couple more times.

Round 6 I finally managed to win an init after killing his commanders and polished off the pintsized powerhouse.

Round 3 vs Mike J (jacksonm)

It seems mike and I play almost every tournament, but that's ok b/c mike's cool to play against.

Mike had a 5 activation band with Epic Moradin, Epic Tordek, Dwarf Artificer, Eberk, Man at Arms. Wonderful. Ac 30 and 485 hp to chew through. Hopefully some combination of my activation edge, blur, and RoE would provide me the chance to win.

We both had TPT so we skipped map init and moved right to side, which I won and chose the good side. Duh. Round 1 Mike spread his guys out completely in his assembly area with the AoM and eberk in one corner and the dwarf artificer and tordek in the other. The MAA hung out somewhere in the middle front to misdirect lines I guess. I used my standard opening procedure now, magicweaponing the sacred watchers, blurring and GMW bahamut and moving bahamut and the couatl onto teleporters. He mostly turtled but moved the MAA out a bit to better draw off bws.

Round two he continued to cower in fear of the dragon god while I improved my position by getting more things to teleporters and casting LSoF.

Round three I moved a sacred watcher to attack the maa but missed. He had moved his aspect of moradin up and left around his start area, but then moved tordek along the short side of the board, and this is what I'd been waiting for. I definitely didn't wanna face both titans at the same time, but now they were split up and bahamut pounced. A line bw killed the maa and did 30 to tordek. then I moved to base tordek and moved another sacred watcher to flank getting a crit for 20 damage out of the deal. Not too shabby. I then teleported the spellscale sorcerer for RoE on tordek and the warweaver and couatl for snake swiftness manageing a couple of hits to put tordie at 165 hp left.

Round 4, I'm not sure who won init, but I think I might have. I forced morale on tordek but he saved. Tordek then smashed the sacred watcher, but missed bahamut on the cleave due to conceal and on his second attack due to rolling low. A couple more snake swiftnesses and an acid arrow followed as moradin went to pummel my dwarf artificer who was definitely lagging behind the battle.

Round 5 I won init and finished off tordek with bahamut and bahamut was still at full HP. The last couple rounds were just clean up and the aspect of moradin fell to the combined might of bahamut and his buffers.
