10/16/06, Fun 4 All, Ypsilanti, Michigan. Warlords of Meldore scenario (downloadable from WotC site).

Last time we ran WoM, I came out on top with the Mind Flayer. This time, I just edged out ahead with the Battle Plate Marshall. The bands:

100 pt:
BPM
Tordek, Dwarf Fighter
Slaughterstone
Hill Dwarf x4

vs Aaron
Inspiring Marshal
Xendrik Champ
Rikka
Graycloak
Wolf

on Dragon Shrine (my map)

I scooted across the map, losing a Hill Dwarf to ranged fire, and surrounded his Wolf on the shared VA with Hill Dwarves while my Slaughterstone and BPM hunted down the big fish. Rikka popped in on the shared area and zipped over to smack my Slaughterstone; I used GDMA to get one of my Hill Dwarves to flank her, then eviscerated her. Meanwhile, BPM was missing Conceals left and right against the Xendrik. I finally got his Marshal and Xendrik surrounded, lost the Slaughterstone, but flanked his Marshal and finished him with the BPM. Meanwhile, a Hill Dwarf got a crit and a hit to make the Graycloak run away. I went over 100 pts before I could finish the Xendrik, earning 25 warlord points.

200 pt:
BPM w/potion of cure wounds 20
Tordek, Dwarf Champ
Sacred Watcher x2
Dwarf Artificer
Dwarf Wizard
Healer
WF Scout

vs Chris:
Cleric of Syreth
Golden Protector
Gold Champion w/winged boots
Cleric of Yondalla
Halfling Ranger
T-Wolf

on Mithral Mines (my map)

Tordek and ghosties make a nice combo. His Gold Champ had a 27 AC; but with greater magic weapon and flanking from the Watchers, Tordek was able to land every hit. After eating both breath weapons and losing the Healer, I was able to rout the GP, then rout the Gold Champ, then surround and pound Syreth while my Artificer and Wizard kept the hobbits busy. Again, I didn't kill everything, buit I did get another 25 warlord points.

500 pt:
BPM w/potion
Tordek, DC (Epic) w/greater magic weapon
Aspect of Moradin w/armor of Resist Cold 10
Dwarf Artificer
Healer
WF Scout
Couatl
Mephling

vs Dan:
Eye of Gruumsh
Drow Cleric
Drow Wizard
Fomorian w/magic trinkets?
Mountain Troll w/magic trinkets
Wardrummer
Cultist of the Dragon
Black Dragon

on Field of Ruin (my map)

I was lucky in my match-ups. Last match, I got an inexperinced player; this match I got a great opponent  who just had a lousy match-up against my band.  I used the GDMA early to let Tordek base and smack Gruumsh, then swiftness from the Couatl to finish him. Flying Tordek and Moradin then ripped up the Fomorian and a bazillion Maws. Meanwhile, his Mt Troll was waiting in the center of the board, squatting on the corpse of my Couatl, while his Black Dragon was chasing the Mephling around the backfield and picking bits of Healer from its teeth. The Fomorian, with morale save +19, had rolled a 1, fled to the back of map, rallied while next to a wall, and there tasted Tordek's fatal wrath. Epic Tordek is a vicious runt!

Another 25 warlord points for me, putting me at 75, just ahead of Brian with 70 pts. The funnest part was being able to use a different Tordek in each of my bands.
