Star City Game Center Celebrates Grand Opening with Special D&D Minis Event!

ROANOKE, VIRGINIA - On October 20-22, 2006, the 10,000 sq. ft. Star City Game Center will celebrate their Grand Opening with a weekend jam-packed with Premier-level tournaments and special events.

This includes a D&D Minis Scenario Case Tournament on Sunday, October, 22nd!

Pre-registration: 10:30am
Tournament begins: 11:00am
Entry Fee: $10.00
Prizes: 1st: 5 War Drums booster packs
2nd: 3 War Drums booster packs
3rd & 4th: 2 War Drums booster packs

"Were committed to offering players the best gaming experience possible." said Pete Hoefling, President of the Star City Game Center. "So far, the feedback we’ve received has been overwhelmingly positive, but I invite everyone to join us for our Grand Opening weekend and check things out for themselves."

The state-of-the-art Star City Game Center is capable of comfortably accommodating 300 players, and offers many amenities not seen in a typical game store such as a private Parents Lounge and a full-service, in-store restaurant appropriately named, "The Sideboard."

If you give a little more notice next time, you might have players from all over the state attend. I might try to get down that way if I knew about it a few weeks in advance so that I could juggle my kids' schedules and such (although, hosting events on Sunday makes it a bit harder).

Sounds cool, though. Room for 300 players would be nice for things like Pre-releases and Qualifiers. An in-store restaurant is a nice touch.
