Round 3:

In the first round, I play against our newest player Clockwork who is playing with a band borrowed from Grubbis. We end up playing on Dragondown Grotto, and on the first round, I keep all my guys hidden from the archer and double move Bahamut across the board to set up for a breath weapon if I win initiative. I lose initiative, but with cover, Bahamut doesn't get hit anyway. I manage a breath weapon to take out both Magma Hurlers and the Nentyar Hunter. On the third round, I move towards the rest of his band and catch most of them with his other breath weapon. He made a full attack with the archer but managed to miss on all 3 attacks! At this point he conceded because all his commanders had been eliminated and Bahamut had barely been hurt.
In the second round, I was up against the very interesting archmage/griffon calvary band. I won my map and took the teleport temple. First round, I do the Dimension hop trick and breath on his whole warband. Unfortunately, Ryld made the save and stuck around. He then quick finger of death (needed a 4 and got it), teleported the GC away and charged/pounced Bahamut. The second round was much like the first after he teleported/charged/pounced again. I made my morale save with Bahamut and managed to put a boat load of damage into the GC. IIRC, the Bronze dragon dealt the killing blow. At that point, it was only a wounded archmage versus pretty much my whole warband with Bahamut still over 100 hp. With no where to hide, the game was conceded.
The third round was against the Epic SSEs with a VERY high AC (36 each when flanking). I did the first round breath weapon trick again, but stayed well back and used the line attack first. I managed to catch both SSEs and Nebin (who was the only one to save!) I didn't stay far enough away however since the Warweaver Dimension hopped one closer which then used it's enhanced mobility to get a full attack off. The other SSE made it's way to a teleporter and eventually flanked Bahamut. I made a couple of tactical errors, but the LBD saved the day by allowing Bahamut to reroll many of his misses. After taking out one of the SSEs, I moved Bahamut away, taking the AoOs to catch what was left of his band with the cold cone to end the match.
Overall, I don't think it's a great Bahamut build, but thankfully it is pretty forgiving. It's actually pretty hard to make a *bad* Bahamut build.

| | I can't complain with a 2nd. I didn't have much faith in the SSE going in. | | Yes I am Gelatinous.
