| We only had 4 people turnout, but i thought it was pretty good for our first tournament!
Jeff (that's me) Tiefling Captain Githyanki Dragon Knight Zombie White Dragon Mounted Drow Patrol Timberwolf x2 Hyena Orc Warrior Map: Drow Outpost
Jason Sword of Heironeous Githzerai Monk x4 Sacred Watcher Warforged Scout x2 Map: forgot to bring one
Brandon- Storm Silverhand Bralani Eladrin Valenar Cavalry Shadowdancer Steelheart Archer Half-Ogre Barbarian Xeph Warrior Map: Hailstorm tower
Fourth guy (I think Rob, but I don't remember his name off hand)
RedHand War Sorceror x2 Duergar Champ x4 Map: Keep of the Fallen Kings.
Round 1 Jason vs Brandon (Jason wins) Jeff vs. Rob (Jeff wins)
I had no problems with Robs band. I won map initiative, and basically just routed The Commanders by round four. I was able to secure the bridge without any trouble, and sail comfortable to a win.
Round 2 Jason vs. Jeff (Jason wins) Rob vs. Brandon (Brandon wins)
Jason is actually a good friend of mine, who has RPG'd with me for years, but never Skirmished before. he'd played twice before this tournament (one of those games was right before) He has a very tactical mind, and has picked up the game rather well. He rushed over the bridge round one, and engaged the ZWD with both scouts, one monk and the SW. this game came down to a few crucial rolls. The GDK failed the incorporeal roll on the SW, while using Smite Good. This was huge for Jason, as it meant he had plenty more rounds on the ZWD at 20 damage a swing. Jason also got a very crucial initiative roll on the last round, enabling him to strike first. We counted 5 crucial rolls throughout the game, and he won 3 of those. All in all, a very well played game. Kudos to Jason
Round 3 Jason vs. Rob (Rob wins) Brandon vs. Jeff (Jeff wins)
Jason had serious troubles vs the Duergar, and learned a valuable lesson on how to use his speed.
My game vs. Brandon was a bad matchup, and he knew it. He didn't like his map selection vs. my band, and he was right. We ended up on hailstorm tower, and it was a massacre. The tower works really well for my GDK, he uses the slopes to great effect. I quickly killed the Valenar charger before he had a chance to get an attack off, and it was all down hill from there. I did get a few ideas about a new band, we'll see if it works.
Well, we had a lot of fun, here's hoping that any local players can join us next time!!
