| I played in the Unhallowed pre-release at Millennium Games in Rochester NY on 3/3/07. There were 27 players and it was one of the best events and run events EVER held there.Â
Kudos to Millennium for such a well run event. Heck, we even took a break for lunch as it was that well run. I look forward to continued great DDM times there. Kudos also to Rich and Travis for running such a great event.Â
All of the regular and a few new Rochester gamers showed up. A crew from Syracuse came (6-7 folks), and there were games from Niagara Falls NY (1), North Tonawanda (1) and Erie (2) PA. It was one heck of a great gathering of DDM players.Â
To everyone I played and all the other players - thanks for a great time!Â
For my boosters I pulled and played the following:
Ultraloth Pentifex Monolith Celestial Giant Owl x2 Blood of Vol Divinity Seekers Fire Mephit Changling Rogue
Map - Hailstorm Tower
7 activations
The rest of the pull was:
Stormrage Shambler Halfling Brawler Bugbear Gang Leader Gravetouched Ghoul Strahd Zombie Greypeak Goblin Knight of the Chalice Devotee of the Silver Flame Phlanx Solider
I did not use the Stormrage Shamber as it cost too much and I was leary of it running off at the wrong time due to its Wild nature.Â
I got a little lazy and did not write down all of the warbands I played against. Suffice to say here is what I can remember of what I played against:
Game 1 vs Jay (from Syracuse): Stonegiant Runecarver waraband. I keyed on everything else, gained some VP's, and stayed away from the Stonegiant. Game 2 vs Rich: Van Richten / Blessed Hunter warband. Ignoring the Rat Swarm and Blessed Hunter and killing Van Richten won this game for me. Game 3 vs Matt I (from Erie PA I believe): Undead Dire Wolf / Werewolf Lord / Ultraloth / Cleric of Sune warband. Activation control and taking out the Dire Wolf first and then the Werewolf Lord were key. Game 4 vs Jerimiah: Gorgon / Duergar Slaver warband. Two key BW saves by my Ultraloth and Celestial Owl were key here, along with winning key initiatives. Game 5 vs Dan (XenoZephyr from Syracuse): Ultraloth / Stormrage Shambler. This game was basically won on a die roll at the end when I caused a MC on the Shambler and it routed off the map. Otherwise, a great game agaisnt my friend from Syracuse.Â
I went 5-0 with my warband and placed first - the first time I have ever won a pre-release tournament.Â
I won map for all my games (wow).Â
Summary - the Ultraloth IS A BEAST! He was probably my MVP and I think he may be my new favorite LE commander. I used the Heightened Ray 4 times and it only worked in my last game agaisnt the Shamber (and likely helped me win the game). But I also used his Scorching Ray many times and he is awsome in combat. Plus, his Telepathy is awsome for making MC's when away from the commander.Â
Runner up MVP(s) - Blood of Vol Divinity Seekers. These guys were just sick in handing out damage once they based an enemy, especially in the Sacred Circle of the Hailstorm Tower (or also in the presence of Cleric of Sune). Thier speed 8 and being Fearless were also huge. I might just have to do some play testing with them.Â
Again, thanks to all.Â
And to everyone else please feel free to add your comments and report your results in this thread.Â
Cheers.Â

| You know, the guy who won in South Bend also pulled an Ultroloth.
I pulled garbage but still placed respectably. My two loses came down to die rolls at the end, and those two players ended up taking 3rd and 4th; so I feel pretty good about how I did given that I had crap for a band.

Congrats on your win Sirohk.

| I will make my own thread for winning at Alternate Universes in holmes PA (4-0) But yes, I did pull an ultraloth also.
It was the only ultraloth i saw in play.
It was quite frustrating having everyone save against everytying I did. No exhaustion, no dark thoughts ever worked. But I used quick cast scorching rays in every match: Vampire wolf, black dragon, sky captain, shambler. 30 auto hp is fantastic. Just wish I faced an ice elemental to make it 60! | | Champs 2007 Top 16, Team Amish Class of 2007 Seeking Northern NJ DDM'ers - "There can be only one" (I hope not) Champion of the Doppleganger | |

| I didn't have a great pull. My Pulls did consist of a Caller of Darkenss and a Gravetouched Ghoul who ran together decently. the BG of Hextor was nice, but slow. He should either have a speed 6, or damage output of 20. The other rare I pulled was the Wizard of Turmish.
But even with the ok pulls I didn't do too bad. Didn't place in top 8, but felt all of my games were good... Well except the last one. It went horrible from the get-go. But oh well. Still had TONS OF FUN.

| Your pull was not too bad. I thought my was bad, until I realized how tough the Ultraloth is.Â
What map did you use with the Blood Golem of Hextor? If I had pulled him I was planning on using the Dunngeon of Blood - a short distance map for getting to your opponent.Â
And I agree with others that the Wizard of Turnips is a pretty crummy rare pull.Â
