I'm happy to finally announce the 3rd California DDM Open!

Format: DCI sanctioned 200 point Constructed Assault. (Probably N+1 rounds followed by a cut to top 4 for single eliminations. Secondary tournament possible too.)

Where: Game Kastle in Santa Clara. See their web site for address and directions:
http://www.gamekastle.com/

When: Saturday April 7th at 11 am. (Yes, just two Saturdays away!)

Entry Fee: $15.

Prizes:
- Repaint trophies for the top four finishers: Beholder Lich, Large Brass Dragon, Werewolf Lord, Stone Giant Runecarver.
- Roughly 14 prize boosters from Unhallowed and other sets. Distribution TBD, but I imagine at least a couple boosters will be opened up for deep prize drafting.

Notes: Sorry for the short notice, but Derry and I finally got our acts together. This will be the first major constructed tournament in Nor Cal in quite some time, and I expect lots of people will be testing warbands for the June qualifier.

(Why are my returns not breaking lines?!)

The two previous California Open events have been a lot of fun, giving players of all skill levels a chance to meet other people they don't normally get to play against. I definitely recommend doing whatever it takes to get to this one if you're anywhere nearby (or even if you aren't).

Hope to see you there!

Painted prize minis: Werewolf Lord, Beholder Lich, Stone Giant Runecarver, and Large Brass Dragon
from another board
Does the worst player get an award? hehe, j/k

The players with the lowest ranking at the conclusion of each of the two tournaments will receive a special prize.

(One special prize was only available at Gencon Socal 2003! The other is similar but has been available more recently.)

Every attendee will receive three promo minis (yes, all three for each person):

Warforged Bodyguard (GAMA)
Sauhaugin Ranger (OP repaint)
Swarm of Spiders (Pre-Release repaint)

Good luck everyone! Unfortunately for me, Easter Weekend is a poor weekend to try and get away for a tournament! Congratulations in advance to all participants - I can't wait for the reports!!!

Virtuous Charger for the win. baby! Lol.

I calculated the odds of this working versus the odds that I was doing something incredibly stupid and, I went ahead anyway.
