Open Moscow Championship.
If anyone is around Russia next weekend and interested in participating in a high-level DDM tournment, this is your chance!!
Location:
Gaming club Portal:
"Serpuhovsky Vall" 18/30 (
Серпуховский вал д.18/30)
Nearby metro station Tulskaya
phone: 7 - 495 - 633-1078

Report on the tournment will be on this topic.
You know when you are playing too much DDM when you read the Art of War and start wondering how that applies to DDM...

Good luck again!
I look forward to seeing the winner (and more Russians in June, in Manchester) - then, hopefully, a trip to GenCon Indy?
One of these days WoTC will update their tournament page when I'm in the top 5... they never seem to do when I'm in that bracket :(

Hehehe, there is a chance that a non-russian will come to "represent" russia.. hehehe.. That is, ME, if I win.

Igor Parfenov (the current #1 in Russia) won with a very unexpected warband.
Vladas Aniolis got second.
I got third/fourth (losers from the semifinal didn't play again).
My warband was:
Inspiring Marshall
Archmage
Virtuous Charger
Greycloak ranger
fodder
I won't post their warbands until they say I can. I don't know if they prefer to keep it secret.
THere was 16 people (which is a lot for our standards...).
There were:
4 Archmage bands
2 ~ 3 Vlaakith + Marilith bands (I can't remember the exact number)
1 Forgepriest
1 Cadaver collector
1 CoDA + Justicator x2
There were no:
Shadowdancers
Ultroloths
Ghaeles (I was going to play ghaele but when I noticed the large about of archmages, I changed...)
My distinct impression is that most people don't think about the metagame, they just make a band that seems strong and bring it regardless of what they believe the opponent will bring. Very few think about the metagame

Did you get any Belarussians or Ukrainians at the tourney? I know that they were hoping to get some coming

If only I knew what on Open Moscow Championship will be lot Archmage-warband I play Shadowdancers-warband instead Archmage-warband, I hate mirror-match (I play 3 game from 4 against Archmage). In Open Moscow Championship also be Maruth-Syreth-Cuatl warband.
