From lantern314 at Hordelings: Eric Hurd and AesophDarkfable met in the finals. Eric, playing a Kordukopia, had beaten Aesoph, playing UltroForge, in a super close match in round 1. Aesoph offered Eric the tournament win and the ticket to GenCon in exchange for the booster prize. I didn't play, but had fun watching rounds 1 and 4. There were lots of great close matches. I think that everyone had a good time. It was a small tournament due to a startling lack of local players and weather keeping away some of our regional regulars. An Aspect of Moradin/Dual Shield Guardian band and an LG Tordek PORC band rounded out the top four. In addition to the bands mentioned above there was another UltroForge, a Forgepriest/Red Hand, a CE Thrall band, , and a CG PORC. I don't know the placement after the top four. The main lesson that I saw was that having a Firegiant Forgepriest in your warband is not an automatic win. I hope that Aesoph will post something more detailed. Dave

The warband I used was Aspect of kord Cleric of Dol Drrah Couatle Warforged Bodyguard Bat Familier Timber wolf x2 I used the Field of Ruin map. There were alot of close matches here. I only won 1 map initiative(my first round) out of the 5 games I played. I ended up going 4-2 including Aesoph dropping in the last match Eric Hurd

Just curious what a CG PoRC band contains?

To answer both questions, as its name implies, it can contain anything; a PoRC is a mix of random figures. Though it stands for Pile of Random Crap, it does not imply a value judgement. For example, a proper Storm PoRC can be Tier 1. I myself played a PoRC band; that is, it is a band that is not a "named" band, but contains an alchemy of unpredictable pieces. If I remember correctly, this one had a core of Ryld, Half-Ogre Barbarian, Longtooth Barbarian, and Valenar Nomad Charger. The young player who piloted this band demonstrated a delightful mix of rules knowledge and sportsmanship.

Good to see. Anyone have a total of turnout and warband list?
