Hey Sirohk...not to split hairs, but I finished 3rd in Cary, NC (Aaron Fudurich), and Shayne Lindeman finished 4th. You were close on Shayne's name. It's the first time I've done this well, so I need to bask in the sun for my 15 minutes.

Edmonton had 21 show up! (Almost double last year's.) I believe there were 9 from Calgary, 3 from Vancouver, 4 others from rural-ish Alberta, 1 from Ontario, leaving 4 local Edmontonians. I had a blast, doing much better then I expected at 3-3 (I haven't played competitively for months), including losses to two of the top four. After 6 rounds of swiss, there were no undefeateds, and I think only two at 5-1. Tiebreakers were crucial (with almost 10 players at 4-2). If I remember correctly, the bands for the top four: Ken Norden (Ultroforge; Teleport temple) -- Handily beat me again this year (my first time on teleport temple didn't help!) Terry McAllister (Storm, Virtuous Charger x2; King's Road?) -- at one point, 7 of the 10 tables were playing on King's Road Joseph Quaizon (Large Black Dragon x4) -- it was great to watch his match against another LBD band: 6 on the same map! Tim Wilson (Storm, Valenar Charger, Shadowdancer x2; ?map) -- I lost a very close game to Tim, it came down to a pair of die rolls after time had been called (not bad odds, but still a close game). Random comments: Lots of Ultroloths -- at one point I counted seven on the top 6 tables (4 Ultroforge and 1 Triple-Ultroloth). Quad black dragon pulled out a win against Triple-Ultroloth -- the dice gods were biased that game. Four or five bands were CG RPoC, 6+ were LE (Ultro-forge/champ/loths), 2-3? Large Black Dragons.
