| Right now it's not looking promising. Alex's birthday is that weekend, and he and his friends have decided they can think of better things to do than play minis. Fools!
But, if enough of us want to get together, we could still play there anyway. Anyone else from Kalamazoo interested?
You're not going to one of the qualifiers that weekend?

| Only four of us showed up, and we played anyway (and we all ended up in the Top 4!).
I played a fun CG band: Storm, War Wizard x2, Bralani x2, WEW, Xeph x2; Thieves Quarter Alex played: LBD x2, Red Samurai x2, Tiefling Cpt., Hyena x2, Orc Warrior; Hellspike Daniel played: Solar, Shield Guardian, Dragonmark, Man-at-Arms x3, something else; Dragondown Grotto Dan played: Sacred Watcher x4, Kolyarut x2, Cleric of Order, Cleric of Moradin; King's Road
We played n+1 rounds (so, 3), and it ended up being basically a Round Robin (we all played each other once).
Final standings
Me (3-0) Alex (2-1) Dan (1-2) Daniel (0-3)
In most games, dice were the deciding factor. Against Alex, I routed one LBD and both Red Samurais--they all made their rally check, but, my damage output was so high that I took him down. Still, he forced a morale check on Storm in the second-to-last round, and, had she failed both that and the rally check, he would have won.
Against Daniel, I just picked off everything but the Solar. (When Dan played Daniel, the Kolyarut's hold monster worked on the Solar, and the swarm of Sacred Watchers just did so much damage that the Shield Guardian popped and then the Solar failed his save again the next round and it was over.)
When I played Dan, I beat incorporeal just about half the time, but, since I had so many line effects, and I could consistently get at least 2 (and often 3) pieces in a line, I eventually wore through his pieces. My War Wizards in the woods were able to really pile the damage on his Kolyaruts and he couldn't hit me fast enough to heal his Kolyaruts faster than I was damaging them.
I liked Dan's band the best--if it were tweaked a little more, it would really be a problem for a lot of bands. Things like AC 27 are hard enough to deal with, but, all his hitters are also either incorporeal or able to heal themselves--and, they're all fearless. Nice.
The store owner charged $10 per player, and then gave out one booster per player for prizes. I got two boosters, and he gave one to 2nd and one to 3rd (poor Daniel). He had three Underdark and one Unhallowed. Since I already have everything, I took the two Underdark (Elminster and Gray Render). Dan took an Unhallowed (Displacer Beast), and Alex took an Underdark (Rikka).
We had a good time and were done within about 4 hours, which is a nice change from the 10-hour marathons I've played recently.
