Not why vote, but why would you vote for a particular map?

I play regularly on most of those maps except the newest 2.

I was wondering before I go vote, what other players opinions on these maps were.

I'd have no idea what I will bring to GenCon, so I figure I would want the most neutral map available.

So, toss out your opinion.

I like to vote for fun maps that aren't prevalently played, last year I voted the Teleport Temple.  Still a favourite map of mine, really changes the tactics within a game.

I voted Dragonshrine, just to skew LBD's out.

Personally, I am trying to avoid maps that give LBDs an advantage. Thus, I didn't vote for Hellspike and I didn't vote for Hailstorm (the sacred circle gives lets LBDs break DR).

I won't be attending, but I voted Teleport Temple anyway. It's a really different and fun map, and I like to hear about the differrent tactics used afterwards.

I'm also not attending but voted for Market Square. It's my new favourite, and it does help against black Dragons or Cormyrean Warwizards...

I noticed it said Finals.

Perhaps you will be able to play your own map through the swiss, so now there's even more tactics involved. You're Army must play well in a normal swiss environment, as well as excelling in the fixed map finals.

Interesting.

I voted for Dragon Shrine, simply because I see it as one of the best, most balanced maps around. Though I might have voted differently if I knew it was going to be for the finals.

I am not gone.

I voted for Drow Outpost because I've played on it so much that I can play well on it even with a band that isn't optimized for it, and, conversely, I know that some people aren't as familiar with it, and that would give me an advantage.

Of course, I have to qualify for this to have made any difference in my devious plot.

Dragon Shrine?  Balanced?  Are you on pixie stix?  This map favors Shadowdancers so much that if you lose map against one its autoloss.

No, Dragon shrine is pretty balanced. I've beaten dancers on Shrine before.

Dragonshrine in general is pretty balanced.  But it can create an almost auto loss for certain warbands and it surely does favor Shadowdancers.  But creative players will find ways to minimize the effects of the map and tip the scales maybe a little back in their directions and thus keep a game interesting.Â

Drow Outpost...

Simple. Not many have it and it's a great map, though it does favor titan bands like the forgepriest.

May you find peace and happiness at the hand of Hextor.
