Hi Gang, Just wanted to send a note out to everyone that Games Plus will be hosting a Night Below Release Tournament on Sunday, July 8th. What: Night Below Release Tournament Where: Games Plus in Mount Prospect, IL When: Sunday, July 8th, 11:30 AM Entry Fee: $30 Sanctioned? Yes, This is a Sanctioned Limited Tournament Prize Support: Games Plus is providing up to a case of Night Below (dependent on attendance) for prize support on top of the Official WotC support of a special Epic Card and a commemorative d20. Bring your own map and some way to keep track of your score. As part of the Entry Fee, each player will receive two boosters of Night Below with which to construct a 200 Point Warband. Come on out for the only Official Night Below Release tournament in Chicagoland! —sam

Yeah, downstate folks..you sick and tired of your tax money go to Chi-town? Show them that you'll spend your money whereever you want! This weekend, Bloomington/Normal (or any other downstate venue), show them who is BOSS. They might be able to own our Governor, but they can't take our...Raistlin! We now return you to your regularly-scheduled, non state-specific smackdown...

Well, we had 9 people show up for the release tournament. The event was won by Dave Weiss and his Frost Giant Jarl band. Congrats to Dave! We had a second tournament at 4:30 PM because some folks couldn't make it in time for the official tourney. We had 4 new players for that and 4 from the first tournament. The winner of the second tourney was Josh Wiltse. Congrats to Josh! I hope everyone had a good time, and I was really pleased with the overall 13 players that turned out for the event. That's a pretty good number for our first WotC sponsored event. Thanks to everyone! --sam p.s. Take that downstaters! LOL

Wiltse you traitor! Get back down here..;-) We had 6 for our Saturday release tourney, and it was fun. A new player, playing only his third day of matches won the whole thing. The Frost Giant is baaaaahroken.
