| I thought this had been posted already, but I can't find the thread, so I am starting it again. Oct 5-7 is our local con called Flatcon, we will be hosting a midwest open set of tournaments. For specific tournament info see www.flatcon.com. We will have minis events all three days, with the big main event on Saturday. We hope to see many members of the community able to make it to the days of events. In response to Aespoh's wishes the Sunday sealed tournament will be a Sealed Draft tournament. Prizes will be determined by participation, but these are all being sponsored by our local FLGS and my e-bay store Hubb's Wholesale. As much as I would like to participate in the events, I will likely be tied up with my vendor booth, and or judging the events in some cases. If you are planning on attending please post on one of the forums tournament thread to let us know, so we can do some planning for the events. Any questions please direct them to this thread or e-mail me directly through the forum. Adam Hubbard Thousandsofminis Hubb's Wholesale | | | |

| okay for the main event the prize structure will be as follows. If we have 20 people, there would be 400 dollars in prize money. all the way down to 12th place would get cash. 9-12 would get $10.00 5-8 would get $20.00 3-4 would get $40.00 2nd would get $75.00 First would get $125.00
Now this is just the cash prize, there will be promo repaints and epic cards available for all participants at this size of tourney. Additionally, if you would choose to use the prize money at my vendor booth at the con, you would have 50% more credit than what you won. For example third and fourth place would have $60.00 in credit to my vendor booth instead of just 40.00. I will have pretty much my entire E-bay inventory at the convention with me. I hope that helps clarify what we are looking at. Similar structure will be used for the other two constructed tournaments.

| As posted on the Wizards site, I won't be able to make it on my own to this one. If anyone's traveling through the Fort Wayne, IN area I'd be happy to provide some $$ for a ride and perhaps a place on the floor to sleep. If this sounds like it would work with you just send me a PM. Or mail at agullotti AT gmail.com | | Champion of Dagaronzie, Green Dragon DDM Have/Want List DDM Trade History & Feedback | |

| *bump* Flatcon starts tomorrow, Peter Lee's repainted Nobel Salamander has been received as well as some other prizes. You can see pictures over in the crafter's corner at hordelings. We do have some Gencon Promo Raistilin's as giveaways. I have a stack of epic cards about 250 cards tall and lots of promo repaints. At least one of the Black Robed Raistilin winners will also get the Raistilin epic card to go with him. So come on out and lets have some fun this weekend at Flatcon!

| Well I came in 5th in the main event and 3rd in the second chance but I'll give it a shot.
I ran Battle plate marshal, thundertusk cavalry, champion of dol dorn, rasitilin,Eberk,Earth mephit, standard bearer, batfamilar on blue dragons lair.
We had a turnout of only 9 but I guess thats not to bad for the first time DDM was at this con, I was told a major magic event conflicted with the tournament and Adam had to run his vendor booth or we might have had more local players. Myself,Redranger, aesophdarkfable,Johnnyquest,Lalato,TrueBlue,Bleys, and two others who I didn't know.
In the main event AesophDarkfable came in 1st running Ultroloth, Helmed Horror x2, Ice Mephit x2, Dark Moon Monk, Greenspawn Sneak on Ratfang. I played him in the 2nd round and got crushed when I was forced to face his helmed horrors on his sewer victory area and nerfed.
The second chance event was Heros format and oddly enough 3 of us played the exact same band with minor fodder changes (I was one) the rest built new bands with Adam supplying any minis needed.
In the secound chance event I tied for second place but my tiebreakers pushed me to 3rd and RedRanger went second with JohnnyQuest taking first place with Lady Vol,Beholder,Greenspawn sneak,Kobold miner, goblin skimisher, warrior skeleton, skeletal legionnaire on dragonsdown grotto.
I honestly don't remember what order everyone finished in except myself and the first place finishers but here are the bands everyone played in the main event. From memory and notes so forgive minor mistakes .
Aesophdarkfable: Ultroloth, Helmed Horror x2, Ice Mephit x2, Dark Moon Monk, Greenspawn Sneak on Ratfang
Maijstral: Battle plate marshal, thundertusk cavalry, champion of dol dorn, rasitilin,Eberk,Earth mephit, standard bearer, batfamilar on blue dragons lair.
JohnnyQuest: Large Shadow Dragon x3, Tiefling Captain, Orc Wardrummer, Kenku Sneak x2, Hyena on Thieves' Quarter
Bleys: storm, vandria, quad xen'drik (the same band that took him to top eight at GenCon I believe)
Red Ranger: Vlaakith the Lich Queen, Large Black Dragon, Large Shadow Dragon, and filler
True Blue: Storm, Quad WarWizard
Dan (I think he's Rakashaka arond the boards): Werewolf Lord, Large Black Dragon, Thrall of Blackrazor, Large White Dragon, Orc Wardrummer and filler
Steve H (don't know if he has a handle around here): Large black x2, large white x2, orc wardummer tiefling captain
Lalato: I have no idea....sorry never played him and never had a chance to watch one of his matches.
winner got a peter Lee repaint http://www.hordelings.com/frontend/forums/postView.php?post_id=106595
Thanks to Red Ranger and Thousandsofminis for hosting a great time and all the help and support they gave us | | | |

| Cool info, thanks for the report. I wish I could have made it, but finances, timing, and a few other little family issues trumped the Con.

| Here's my report, mostly for the sealed on Sunday. We had a really great time, wish there had been a few more, but there's always next year! I managed to be 9th of 9 in the main event yesterday with my Vlaakith band, but the first two losses were reasonably close, and took 2nd in the Heroes tourney with the same band with a fodder switch (didn't have a lot of building time this week or it would have been more different). Sunday the four of us left (Adam was running a booth) were me, Aesoph, Lalato, and True_Blue. We played a four person draft and I managed a Lady Vol / Loviatar combo that was tough to beat. Filled with Krenshar, Prisoner, and Deep Legionaire. First match was against True-Blue and his Jarl and Wulfgar. He had me beat apart from his bad dice and my good dice. Vol was down to 25hp after a Wulfgar beating when the Jarl and Gnoll Clawfighter fail an Oppressive Will save. Next round init went to me and I killed Wulfgar with a lucky crit, Loviatar gave the Jarl some tough love with her whip. Next round I win init again and Loviatar crits the Jarl and he routs. Jarl rallies and comes back, but by that time I'm killing the Gnoll and running and then Lovi finishes off the Jarl. Second match against Lalato playing Shadow Dragon, Warpriest of V, two gnolls, a Verdant Reaver and Drow. Sam's plaing Teleport Temple to try and work some hit and run magic with his slightly sub-par drafting pool. He plays tight, but it's just too many hitpoints with too high an AC for him to hit. Krenshar routing the Drow didn't help much either. Last match against Aesoph's dual Dol Dorn's, Wild Mage's and City Militia. I almost made a bonehead sacrifice of Vol early when I thought I could breathe on both Wildmages and Dol Dorns, but was missing a Wild Mage and thought better of it and charged his Halfling Tombseeker instead. After some bad dice on his part, missed attacks and a failed Oppressive Will on a Dol Dorn (plus a failed morale) I finished of the Dol Dorns and then the WIldmages for the win. The dice and draft gods were pleasant to me today. We drafted four boosters for prizes and I got a White Dragon for my rare, which is great because I didn't have one yet. I hope everyone had a great time and we'll work on what we might do to grow it next year and make it a bit cheaper hopefully. Chris | | Champion of the Yeti (large uncommon please!)
