Hey everyone, WHERE: Games of Berkeley - http://www.gamesofberkeley.com WHEN: Tuesday October 2nd @ 6:30pm-ish (typically every first and third Tuesday of each month at the same start time) HOW MUCH: $0.00 - that's right, it doesn't cost a penny! FOR WHAT ?: DCI Sanctioned League play - 200pt Assault. We'll likely get in two or three rounds. These evenings are a great opportunity to hone your skills and your Warband for larger tournaments!!! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Every player will recieve League Prizes such as Mind Flayer Lich EPIC cards just for participating Hope to see you there! -Ben

We had an interesting turn out, with a few newbies swinging by late. I managed to get in two games, one with a new band I threw together, another with the Large Gold Band I discussed two weeks ago. I'll discuss the skirmish I had with the Large Gold in the thread I posted in the D&D Minis Skirmish Forum. There's not much to say about the match with my new band, I don't think I even got a good feel for the band. Long story short, one failed save on a disintigrate followed by a failed morale save ended the game My band: - Pit Fiend - Greater Barghest x 2 (one of them the pre-release promo) - Timber wolf - Azer Raider x 3 200 points, seven activations I played against (if I remember correctly, Zac, let me know) - Vlaakith - Large Shadow Dragon - Thrall of BlackRazor - Cursed Spirit x 2 - Timber Wolf - Orc Warrior = Seven Activations We squared off on Drow Outpost, Zac jumped his LShD to attack one of my Greater Barghests at the end of the round, but Invisibility did it's trick - only one hit. Next round the LShD continued to miss and I moved my other Greater Barghest to flank, the LShD's days were numbered. But then my opponent was able to move Vlaakith close enough to my Pit Fiend to make him her closest target - I then failed the damage save and then I failed the Morale check (I think I rolled a 1 and a 3). In hindsight, I think the Pit Fiend may have been able to rally once but that gave the Thrall a round in which to gain 40 or more HP by eating my Azers, so we scooped to get in another round. That would be with the LGoldD band I'll discuss on the Skirmish Forum. I wasn't around to watch the newbies square off, so Zac, if you have a chance to touch on their (or your perspective on our) match, that'd be great. Cheers! -dinoben

Hey all, we'll be doing this again next Tuesday, October 16th, as well. I won't be there, but my partner in crime "zdrake" will be there with bells on and likely with something Chaotic Evil to play with! I can't wait to hear all about your skirmishes on Tuesday!
