We drove to Standish today, to Crossroad games for the Dungeons of Dread Prerelease. they were even nice enough to hook us up, since we were *gulp* an HOUR late. We got our packs, and heres what i ended up using:

Champion of Baphomet
Bullette
Chillborn
Halfling Paladin
Goblin Picador
Orc Raider
Giant Centipede
Iron Defender
Elf Archer

I liked Baphomet.  I didn't not seeing a single mini with Two attacks as their basic attack.  But, the pushing around with Baphomet, and His powerful champion ability to add +15 damage to an attack made by a bloodied ally i figured i would do fine.

I appologize in advance for not having the time to collect everyones names and the exact figure lists in their bands.

Round 1

I can't remember the fellows name, but he was a good sport. He had a Magma Hulk, i forget the actual name, and also a Dwarven fig that was femae, and a good fig all around.  His activations were slightly similar to mine, a Picador, an iron defender.  The game went fairly even, until Baphomet came into the battle with a Crit on the dwarven fig, taking it out.  My bullette used the terrain of the map we ended up on, Caverns of Chaos ro his advantage to burrow under the walls and come up for an Earthcrest. I won the game by killing his Magma Hulk to bring myself up to 200vp.

Round 2

Vs Dan Schorr.

I've played against Dan several times in the past, and i wish i could travel down to standish more to play.  The highlights of Dans band were his Ice Archon and his Rakshasa Baron.  Did anyone let anyone in on the fact that the Rakshasa Barons range twenty ability is gross? That fig rarely fails to stagger a piece on his turn if he wishes.  At any rate, i overcame those obstacles by getting in good early hits on the Ice Archon and once it was eliminated, the rakshasa was surrounded and his AC 29 eventually fell to my attacks

Round 3

I remember the guys name is Stephen, i've played against him before, but i'm so bad with names.  He had two Shade Knights, a Human Fighter a spider, a gnoll, a halfling paladin, and a couple others.  we ended up playing on his map, Blue Dragon Lair.  His shade knights were able to heal themselves each once, which made going slow.  The game was fairly even until the AC 26 of his shade knights became a problem for my units.  I'm not sure what happened, but it proved hard to get Baphomet into good position to swing at the Shade knights.  I ended up losing this game, but i had 17 victory points when i did. it was very close, and a good game.

Round 4

I don't remember this nie fellows name, but i remember he had an Ice Archon, a drow wand mage, a bullette and some others.  This game was close for a while, then i pulled ahead by eliminating the Ice archon. I moved baphomet up and swung at him at the end of the round, hitting him for thirty and pushing him away but leaving him in my reach.  I won initiative and hit him again, pushing him back out of reach, but into my bullette.  This left him crippled, and soon after my BUllette was able to kill him on an attack of opportunity thanks to the commander effect of the Champion of Baphomet.  Things wound up with my bullette falling to a blast from the wand mage, all that He had left.  I had Baphomet, with 40 hit points left, he had a wandmage with 25 hit points left.  We each had a piece in a victory area, and were at 179 for me and 174 for him.  He won initiative and told me to go first.  I moved baphomet up to base the wand mage, and let him go. i figured i had it.  the wand mage shifted, threw a wand blast, and rolled a crit, just enough damage to kill Baphomet.

I ended up 2-2 and came in 5th.

It was a really fun day, but i didn't get enough sleep or enough time to get all of the info, i hope all of your pre-releases went great!
