| so i went to the prerelease!!!
we had a lot of good players there, i got fifth with 3-1...
my 2 rares were the Immolith and Lamia, and my uncommons and such were decent
my band:
Immolith
Magma Brute
Drow Wand Mage
Orc Raider
Elf Archer
on the Dragon Graveyard
Round 1:
vs the band of
Immolith
Cleric of Pelor
Dwarf Warlord
(2 fodder pieces i forget)
on the same map
heck we were even using the same nb promo dice at the start!
anyway this was a really tough one, and i would have won it if it werent for his immoliths pale fire getting my immolith... we started and i got a first round ice ray on his warlord cleric and immolith (i moved the mage last so they could get close) missed the immolith but critted the warlord! i took it out with the immolith the next round, but during that round his pwned on mine while my magma brute got in place. i would have had it (at the end he had 30 hps left compared to 90 on my brute) butg the brute missed every single freaking attack that game!!!
at the end of round 1 i was 0-1
to be continiued i have stuff to do now lol.

i won map! whee...
so his band had no melee threat whatsoever, his eye did some damage and his filler almost got my mage, but it turned out ok becuase the immolith just kept pulling stuff and sitting by it, pulling stuff and sitting by it...
1-1
3rd round:
vs Greg, who we found out after pairing dropped with out telling the judge (the great Kevin Tatroe)
it was tough :P
4th round vs Josh (digital13jw)
Death Knight
Skeletal Tomb Guardian
Drow Wand Mage

we got my map... again...
so i thought i was screwed for sure, i mean seriously. that and his first two rolls with his wand mage were 20s resulting in the imminent death of my orc raider and drow. but his skeleton spawned in the middle area and rushed forward, with +18 to hit against my immolith! it was a miss... and so it went, with my guys smaking his ac 20, and his cascade of steel missing horribly... it was really only till the tomb guy was almost dead that he brought his death knight up, if he had both of them in the initial rush the game might have turned out much differently, but i got both guys, rushed with mr immolith to sit next to his mage and won it...
and then there were 4 3-1 people and 1 undefeated... due to tiebreakers i placed 5th and was denied 30$ worth of more minis that i shouldve gotten... blech, but at least i had fun | |
