Has there been any word yet on this? It's been 2 months now and no report has shown up in the DCI system

Due to the number and quality of players, this could have some impact on the ratings for this summer and I'd like to get the points for it.

Any information would be appreciated.

It's now been 3 months since the event.

Does anyone know the status of the reporting?

If it's not going to be a sanctioned event regardless of how it was billed, so be it, but I would like to know.

It doesn't look like it. I had some hope from Ian Richards that it would able to, but at this point no. I applogize to everyone who attended. It was my fault in the end that the results didn't get in time.
For the next one (after summer con season is over) I will make sure things are taken care of before hand at the venue. We will definatly be using a different venue as well. I was unhappy with Pastimes for this last one. They basically charged us full retail price for prize support and were horribly cramped, noisy and smelly. If it wasn't for Ian's generousity the support would of been meager at best. If it makes you feel any better, I recieved nothing for my time and efforts, and Peter Lee got only minimal compensation for all the fine work he did with the trophies and getting things organized.

Looking for someone to cosponser a midwest DDM event. let me know if your interested!

I just was interested in the status.

I thought that the non-Pastimes event staff did an excellent job with what we had.

I wasn't a fan of the Pasttimes site before that and less so after, as I felt we were pretty much second class citizens in their eyes.
As long as it's within a 3-4 hour drive, I imagine we'll have a couple carloads for the next one as well.
Hopefully it will be a location that is happy to have 30 free spending gamers with money to burn on singles (since pasttimes doesn't even sell them)

Pastimes, as a store, is about table space. MTG and most collectible card games are the best fit for them, as they can fit 2-3 pairings at a table and they are extremely popular. DDM fits 1-2 pairings at a table and never brings enough people to fill their space. To them, that's losing money. We are the second-class citizens to them, and will always be, because they understand their market. If DDM events completely disappeared from their venue, I'm not sure they'd even notice the difference.

I understand it from the business point of view, though it seems a little counter-productive to claim support for a product and then not trying to support it properly. Still, no other game store in the Chicago area has been able to offer up any amount of table space to compete with them. For most gaming, Chicago really is suboptimal.

Thanks for the memories. :)
