Jesse (et al) came up with a concept and wish to gain advantage from their innovation. What’s wrong with that? They did the work with exactly the same data set as everyone else. If they’ve done a better job than other, more conventional thinkers, then more power to ‘em. If it ends up making no difference, then no harm done. If it ends up helping him, then he was vindicated in choosing to keep it under wraps.
Does anyone think that he won’t lift the shroud after his qualifier? How is he obligated to do a full monty for all us look-ee-lous in the cheap seats? Just think about how many of these tournament reports have missing data due to less than stellar record keeping and/or lack of posting energy. If my attention hadn’t been drawn to it, I would have assumed that his band was a similar overlooked detail. Hardly the end of the world.
