| That is also my hope. Well as of this morning, there is now new news from Gen Con. It is in the pending stage still.
As for the map, lets get it going and give people plenty of time to work on it and for voting, and for printing.
Pat, here are some of the points I want to add in.
1. Make it so combat can be join by turn 2 (watch the amount of hindering terrain).
2. Make sure that the victory areas have some relevence to the map (why would they be victory areas?).
3. Make the map fun and fair... pick a theme if you like and stick to it.
4. Make sure there are 2 victory areas, 1 exit area, and at least one start area per side. I would think that the Start area needs to be able to include 32 squares (enough for 8 large bases)
5. Make sure that all areas are at least 2 squares wide... no squeezing rules for large bases, please.
Just some ideas for what I would be looking for with a map. We do need to make some type of voting concept as well. | |

The event is in the catalog, but it is still listed as Accepted for Consideration.
No problem, if it is in the catalog and people can purchase their tickets on Monday, then we are all set!!!

| The event will follow DCI rules, and is 200 pt limited, so no huge figures.
if you bring a WotDQ booster, you keep your huge, and then the pod drafts out of the remaining figures.
(I think... going to have to think about that poor person who misses his 8th figure, but then it's the person who brought the booster so...)

Then it should work. Last mini would be the huge and the person bring it gets it, so no lose... excetp when building the warband. | |

Well it will be the newest set so some people will want to run it just for that. I for one would not bring 2 of the same boosters if I could help it. I like some variety and if everyone brought the same boosters, it might take some of the fun from this event. Not know what you could possiblly see and what boosters could be there is some of the fun, especially when someone finds an Archfiends or GoL to add in. | |

Well after the success last year I'm not surprised. This is year three and it is going great. I am hoping that it sells out and that we get some of the WotC crew playing as well.
I think it says a lot of the game and the players when a fun and casual event sells out and draws designers to it. I want this event to stay casual and fun so that after all the competition, everyone gets to lean back and laugh and enjoy themselves. | |

Hoping to set up some trades a week or so before the con, and do the deed on site. No postage costs and no delays (yay!!!)
