People trade constantly at Gen Con. I know that I ususally don't do to much as it is a pain to bring all my trade stuff with me. I will though if we work something out before hand bring stuff. I also know that I have a few new "old" pieces that I might trade so they may come along for the trip.

We had originally thought it would be the person who brought the booster got the huge, but then misses out on the last pull from the booster (as the huge would have been the 8th slot). I was thining that if people wanted we could just open the booster and let people draft it. This means that it still might be the last piece pulled, unless it is a piece for someones collection. We still need to finalize that detail. | |

| We brought the subject up in the WotC question thread. Both Shoe and Ian indicated that the pieces in WotDQ boosters work well for 200 pt sealed.
Yes, if you bring a huge pack (either GoL or WotDQ), the person who brings that booster keeps the huge.
That said, both Ian and Shoe recommended that people mix it up, and and that WotDQ and War Drums work very well together. At the end of the day, if you bring 2 boosters of WotDQ, you are shorting your self 2 figures. If everyone in your pod bring WotDQ, then all 4 of those players will build with just 14 figures, rather than 16. I think that's doable, but if your nervous, just bring one huge booster, and another.
I'm going old school if I'm able to play... I've got 4 boosters of Archfiends that are screaming to be opened!

As we've said, we can probably accomodate up to an additional 64 players. Those players "probably" won't have to pay quite as much (we need to confirm that with Gen Con), but they also won't get to take home a map (we'll only be printing 64).
I'd also recommend starting to work on accomodations, things seem even tighter this year than last.

| It's looking more and more like I won't be making it to GenCon this year due to life problems, at least not Indy. SoCal is a lot easier and hopefully my current strife will not be a problem by then. Anyhow I'm still working on maps for the Maxminis event either way, I just wish I could be there. Cest La Vie! I'll survive.

| I'm registered. Last year, I brought a friend who isn't a maxminis member, but I asked ahead of time, nobody had a problem, and he had a great time. So, I registered him again too. Also, I registered my (now famous) son and his best friend. They're also not officially maxminis members.
So, I'm hogging three tickets beyond the one for myself. If some of you guys who really want to go can't get in because of these three, they'll waive their tickets to you (provided that GenCon will let us). I don't (and they don't) want to deprive any community member from a seat. Then again, they so want to play.

Dave it should not be an issue at all. We are working with Gen Con to see if they will have extra space around our area, so that if more people want to play, it will cost them the generic tickets to get in. They just may not get a map, unless the guys making maps add 1 or 2 in for the prizes, which I know Chad did at Winterfantasy. I'll add your confirmation. | |

It would be very cool to have the event at the major cons... but as Pat said, it is not in my cards to go. I can afford 1 major con a year and Gen Con is it. I some how swing WF, but I think it is because it is driving distance. Maybe one day we can organize the event and go, but not for me this year. | |

Also have a map nearing completion, we'll see if I get unlazy enough to get it up this weekend.

OK, here is the deal: You need to register for a badge to do anything at the GenCon registration pages. Buying your badge now saves you $10.00, so once you know your coming, definatley buy your badge!
next up events: "normal" events likely won't require a prepurchased ticket. An example of this type of event is the DDM "League" event. Other events (those with limited availability, or those that are very popular) are more likely to sell out. For these, you need to prepurchase your tickets.
The MaxMini's event has 64 official spaces, and as of today, only 15 tickets remain unsold.
Once you know you are coming to GenCon, I'd recommend buying your tickets ASAP!
to Register for a badge (and buy tickets) go to WWW.GenCon.com
click on "Registration" at the top menu bar to reveal the pull down menu, and then selection "register for Gen Con Indy.
From this next page select "Create and Account". Here you will supply your personal information, and create a user name, and password to utilize the Gen Con registration process.
Once you have your username and password, you can use that same page to Log into the registration page.
Next up, You will see a hotlink to "Buy a Full Access Badge" You'll be taken to a page where you can add a badge to your shopping cart.
next up, buy tickets for your events. Going back to the "main" registration page, you will find an option called "Search the Gen Con Indy 2006 Events Catalog".
Here you can search for what ever games you might want to play. To find the MaxMinis event, select Saturday, and then in the box labeled "Title Contains:" Type in MaxMinis. There will be only one reply, and that is our event.
You can search for other DDM events using this tool, and then check out.
If it is possible have Gen Con mail you your tickets. I'm not sure if they will ship them oversea's, but be aware if you plan to pick them up first thing thursday morning, there will be a LONG line. If your flying into Indy in time to be at the Hall Wednesday night, you can also pick up your tickets at that time, and beat the line.
