OK, here is the deal: You need to register for a badge to do anything at the GenCon registration pages. Buying your badge now saves you $10.00, so once you know your coming, definatley buy your badge!
next up events: "normal" events likely won't require a prepurchased ticket. An example of this type of event is the DDM "League" event. Other events (those with limited availability, or those that are very popular) are more likely to sell out. For these, you need to prepurchase your tickets.
The MaxMini's event has 64 official spaces, and as of today, only 15 tickets remain unsold.
Once you know you are coming to GenCon, I'd recommend buying your tickets ASAP!
to Register for a badge (and buy tickets) go to WWW.GenCon.com
click on "Registration" at the top menu bar to reveal the pull down menu, and then selection "register for Gen Con Indy.
From this next page select "Create and Account". Here you will supply your personal information, and create a user name, and password to utilize the Gen Con registration process.
Once you have your username and password, you can use that same page to Log into the registration page.
Next up, You will see a hotlink to "Buy a Full Access Badge" You'll be taken to a page where you can add a badge to your shopping cart.
next up, buy tickets for your events. Going back to the "main" registration page, you will find an option called "Search the Gen Con Indy 2006 Events Catalog".
Here you can search for what ever games you might want to play. To find the MaxMinis event, select Saturday, and then in the box labeled "Title Contains:" Type in MaxMinis. There will be only one reply, and that is our event.
You can search for other DDM events using this tool, and then check out.
If it is possible have Gen Con mail you your tickets. I'm not sure if they will ship them oversea's, but be aware if you plan to pick them up first thing thursday morning, there will be a LONG line. If your flying into Indy in time to be at the Hall Wednesday night, you can also pick up your tickets at that time, and beat the line.

If we do the 2 at a time dump it will still work out fine. The person who opens the packs gets pick number one, eight, twelve, and sixteen. The bigger issue is is someone brings 2 boosters of WotDQ, because then there will be 2 pieces short. If someone brings 2 boosters of WotDQ, then I would suggest that they open them one at a time.
I would recommend that people bring one of that booster if they really want to and one of something else. If you bring 2 boosters with huges your are shorting your pulls by 2... which could really hurt. | |

The draft will be according to the DCI floor rules, which means that if a person brings 1 booster of WotdQ, per the rules, will short themselves 1 figure.
If there are any Pods that have participants with 2x boosters of DQ, we will have that POD open one booster at a time rather than 2 (which again means the person bringing those boosters will only be shorting themselves....).

| So as a message to all, I would only bring one WotDQ so that you only end up shorting yourself a single mini. In a draft to be down 2 minis might be a hard knock. Go for the single one.
I'm still not sure what I 'll bring. I was looking for an older pack or two, just in case I need to draft to keep the pods even. Maybe I can find some Deathknell... they are out of print now. | |

| Contact WotC and find out what you need to do. I know they had somepeople buy a badge and then return it so they could get event tickets.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there. I'll update the mnain thread this morning. If you do not get a ticket, we will see about getting everyone in to play regardly, it just might mean you are not garunteed a map. | |
