I have a bunch of pieces, and played the Demo at GenCon. I have 2 friends that I've been introducing to new games of late. They expressed some interest in AAM, but I'm not sure how things would go with 3 players.
Would people suggest 3 armies, 100 pt American, 100 pt british, and 200 pt German? Does that scale properly?!

that is the way we played and worked fine, just do as Sean Khan advised, just one initiative throw.... other than that the game runs smoothly as it is designed. | | my list:http://www.maxminis.com/hwlist.asp?user=narethkraag completed trades: Capnfrank, Sturmkraehe, Jeff Wilder (x5), Mrfurious, Shinobi, Hockeyfan, Kyrin x2, Scepter, Archimagus, Enginer230, The Last Huzzah, War golem, RedSkullz Definetely bad trader: Invictus

So a brit commander would provide his effect to nearby American troops? You think if we enforce a warband restriction (Monty afterall didn't get along with Patton!) that 2x100 wouldn't far so well against 200?

| From a game mechanics standpoint, there is no problem with having your Garands take orders from a British Lt, Russian Komisaar, and an American Red Devil Captain all at once. Somehow I don't think that would've worked so well historically.
I think with a 200 point game stacking might be an issue...you're only allowed 2 units from each side in a hex, and at most one vehicle in a hex. 50/50/100 might work better. | | "Why am I all sticky and naked? Did I miss something fun?" -Vindicated champion of Tordek, Dwarf Champion

| besides, those Garands under your Comissar could be the new soviet conscripts who just received a cargo of american gear.
Russians used a lot of british (thanks churchill) material in their war effort. | | Completed Trades: -Eric the God; 7 miniatures, 5/5 -LCS; 1 miniature+tiles, 5/5

| The way I've played 3-player is for one side to have two nationalities such as German/Italian or British/French with the two players each playing one nationality. 100pts split evenly between the nationalites (or any other split if the team can agree). Only one initiative roll is made for the side and each player moves his nationality only!
Victory is determined normally with the 'allied team' winning or losing together. All other game rules are as normal.
