I was just wondering if anybody gave this game a shot. I bought some USMC and PLA that came in today. The models are are nice, made of non flex plastic. They are also on desert bases and have better paint jobs than most other brands, but not as good as that Rackham prepaint game. The rules look fun too, but I won't get to play until tomorrow. My only big complaint was the barrel was broken on my type 99 and one PLA rifleman fell off the base. It might have been discouraging to the some but it was an easy fix for even amatuer modellers. I'll let you guys know more once I play.

Got my first game in tonight and it is pretty fun. Too bad the advanced rules are a couple of months out. The turns are divided so that one player makes all of his move and then the next player goes. During your opponents turn you can make reactions to his moves if he is within 10in. Then there are rules for suppression and hunkering down heavy weapons and such. I can't wait to play with larger forces.

For those of you who have modern figures and do not want to play Battlefield Evo, Iron Ivan has put out Cold War rules that cover modern militarty units up until 1992. Not totally up to date but much of the equipment is still standard today. You just have to buy the Seven Coffins for Seven Brothers book for the basic rules. Iron Ivan is pretty solid for WWII rules so I imagine the same quality for this supplement.
