Look at the bottom topics for terrain maker. This is a different sized hex but you should fing the info relevant.

my father and i are thinking of buying some of the hexes they are selling... it would be easier than cutting them ourselves.

Glad to help. Few know of the greatness of micro armour. Their terrain accessories are great to and have lots of variety. They are different scale as I stated, but A&A 's board is 1/1000 to 1/144 figs anyway.

Yes, I think that the hexes would be fine... i could play A&A on my pool table instead of my table top, it would alow me to play bigger maps as well.

Just as a note - bigger than 2" hexes look generally better and work better, especially with those larger tanks. I've made 3.5" hexes myself.

On the other hand, they are more difficult to handle and store...

Oh, and you probably don't want to use same map in every game, so some kind of modularity would be recommended.

yes, i was guessing at the size of the hexes and learned that im using 3.5 as well. (just ordered the hexes!)

the map i created is just a starter...the cool part about making your own terrain tiles is that the possibilities for new maps are endless.
