Somewhere I have a pic of a clean painting table (from when I first started painting), but all I could find was this (and it's messier now)...

My hobbie work area is my bed [:p] as I paint my minis while I watch TV and my wife would freak if I do it in the living room. My computer room's desk is cluttered as it is so no luck there [:(]

I just transform one end of the kitchen table for one project at a time, then pack everything back up again onto the shelves and window ledge. The link to pictures in my sig actually shows me sitting in the "work area," with (if I recall) boxes of plaster, scenery, and minis behind me.

I'll have to post a pic later, when I'm back into modelling. I've had lots of friends & relatives visiting lately and haven't had time for modelling due to all the work, so my modelling place doesn't look like modelling place right now...

I asked my boss for her digital camera last week, so I could snap some pictures of my modeling area. She has been asking about it since my desk is always clear and everything has an order. Whereas, my model area/room is in total disarray. Like most I always have multiple projects that are running concurrently...[)]

Yeah taht was a mold that I made to speed up the casting of the chipped stone floor tile. It can cast something like 80 at once. If you look to the right of the picture you wil see the results of the mold all in the base black coat.

I also have come to the conclusion that it would have been a better use of the silicone to make four four inch square tiles and then make a mold. Which, incidently, is the next project I have in the mold works area.

If you have looked at the other shots, like the one in the game room you will see a LRD in and around some grey walls. Those walls are the latest thing that I have done. The walls are all cast at the same time and makes a sectin that is right at six inces in length. My idea is that I can make entire wall sections at once and not have the problems of the glue being to weak in an area during painting.

The wife would kill me if she knew those pics were up...

Working away on some scenery at the moment and realised....

All my hiding areas are opened, so I took a few quick pics...

(Hiding Areas - Safety from my 4 cats for my foam-based scenery.)

This is just a quick shot of my bookshelf that houses all my D&D RPG Books, and some of the Huge minis from DDM. (Bottom shelf houses old Dungeon/Dragon/White Dwarf mags, as well as old character sheets from 1st Ed D&D, and home-made maps & modules).

Here is where I keep all my Dwarven Forge Scenery. It is an old 'pidgeon Hole' setup from a small post office. The size of the 'holes' are perfect for Dwarven Forge Scenery.

This is my WiP cupboard. Placed on top of the cupboard is a little set of shelves, these hold some of my board games boxes, and some older scenery. (3D'd versions of DDM tiles.)

This is a closer shot of the contents of the WiP cupboard. On the Second shlf are 2 rooms made from Hirst Arts (not yet painted/completed). On the 3rd shelf are some dungeon walls made of foam, and the rest of the stuff is either scenery for WHFB in different states of completion. On the top shelf is all my repainted DDM's, and 'spare' DDM's turned into statues.

Well here is Mrs DF (well part of her). It is currently 2:40am and she is sitting up with me helping me get some last minute work done to some scenery. She is currently working on a Ruined farmhouse made out of packing foam, and the tiled floor is small squares of cardboard. The whole lot is covered in thinned wood filler. It will (hopefully) be painted soon, then the details (plants/rocks/etc) will be added. In the top frame of the pic you can see some home-made trees, and a piece of 'wooded' terrain in the process of being completed.

OK, so it is nearly 3:00am and I am posting this while Mrs DF is slaving over my scenery.... I better go.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

DF

Ruined farm house!! Awesome, going to be making some plans for those, for myself. The early steps look great...

Whitewind nice work area. Is the dungeon you have drawn (on white paper on your desk) out being made with Hirst Arts stuff?
