| Heya YRM_DM;
Damn dude! That is some damn hot scenery. (Actually the word scenery doesn't seem right to use.... those 'buildings' are way to good to be labelled just 'scenery').

| | Very nice paint scheme for the chipped stone. I have been using ( and becoming bored with) the standard black base then grey dry brush. The brown and then sandstone is a very nice touch...[:)] | | Ambassador of FUN!!! | |

| | Wow, amazing work. I wish I had your kind of talent. I really like all the detail on the fountain--especially the ripples in the bottom. | | Quis custodiet ipsos custodes--Who will gaurd the guards? Champion of the Commoner Mob Leader | |

There are lots of cool entries.
Bruce Hirst, the guy who makes the molds that make the bricks used in those models, has a display at GenCon Indy.
I don't work for him, make any money by plugging him, or get anything out of it, but, the guy took his dream and made a living making high quality molds out of his basement.
You gotta give props to that.
I'm sure he has some great samples at his booth of his set designs. | | Completed good trades with Demagogue, PigSnot, DoB, and Alepulp.

Yep,Bruce's molds are awesome,I'm currently building a skirmish dungeon out of the fieldstone molds...though it doesn't look half as nice as YRM's stuff...[)]

| Simply awesome (I take that back, there is nothing simple about those) As someone who has just purchased his first Hirst Arts and is just getting his feet wet, I am highly inspired (and awed) by the details and how beatuiful it looks. Thanks for sharing YRM, you do inspiring work. | Yikes! Other people can compete with this?
I know two guys around here who weren't happy with Dwarven Forge material, and decided to work with Hirst castings instead. Their stuff is pretty nice, but yours.....yours is something else. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

| If you look at some of the previous HADD's there are some amazing prize winning entries too... Bossman, Geboom, Catgunner, Gamer, Todd Goss, MLINDERT and other guys and gals have really done some stuff that's also top tier (I don't have perspective to say what you might like better).
You can really do a lot with these castings with some reading into Bruce's Tips & Tricks, a little planning, and patience.
There are instructions for everything from drybrushing to construction to waterways. Not that you can do everything right on the first try of course...
It helps to have some design or artistic background, but, it's not 100% required. I think Bossman is an accountant or something (you can see his entries in previous HADDs) with some minor art training. | | Completed good trades with Demagogue, PigSnot, DoB, and Alepulp.
