STOP IT!!!!![:p] Already ordered The Molds and Some Merlins Magic Dk. Grey. I have some custom molds I've already made with Alumilite Silicone and used resin for them, But $$ wise buying the Hirst molds and Dental plaster is actually more cost effective. | | 183 Completed trades with the best people on the net!

| Yea dark grey is great. I'm getting jet dry tomorrow for the wet water effect for the more detailed molds.
I'm outside in a nice storm at the airport fueling as we speak trying to think if I should make a few more molds tonight.

| Pat, Nice stuff there man!! I was really bummed about not being able to cast some molds this weekend since I am out of plaster. But after seeing the amount of great looking stuff; I have been bitten by the paint bug hard...[)]
Bruce is really god about getting molds out in a timely fashion. But then I only live like an hour away. [:I] So, I guess I don't wait as long as others.... | | Ambassador of FUN!!!

| Thanks for the compliments... No guesses as to what Dungeon it is though! I'll see if I can find the picture of the whole thing set up, that might give some more clues....

| Oh, and wet water is a must... I keep a 2 gallon bucket of wet water near my work area, and dunk the mold into it before I pour... It REALLY reduces the the bubbles....

Ah! There's one of the clues.... A pit is usually 10 or 20 feet deep... this is a bit deeper than that.

| | Not sure what the dungeon might be. Maybe perhaps sunless citadel. I know that I am going to get some more ½ foam for the stacking effect. That looks really nice Pat!!!! | | Ambassador of FUN!!! | |

| I mount all my dungeons on 1 inch foam, that allows me to install traps, pits, stair to the next level etc. Why describe, when you can show!

| That just looks awesome. I can't spend money for making dungeons, or it would be tempting. I have to draw the line somewhere, and I am spending a ton on DDM. I am making a table that I like that will soon have a completed 8'x4' vinyl mat in 1" grid.
The only problem I see with that spectacular dungeon is seeing the grid on it and knowing where to move. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

I thought that as well. But it is really not that bad... http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=4325481&a=31871608&p=72608236
The chipped stone is the only pic that I have up which really shows the grid. I thought that the fieldstone would be really bad but the "stones" actually brak up the grid pattern to see easier. At least when you are right on top of it. If you are about three feet away then it can get kinda lost in between the lines, so to speak...[:D] | | Ambassador of FUN!!!

| Yea, the grid really isn't hard to see, look at this image (more of a top down view....), and you'll see that even with fieldstone, it's pretty clear where to go...

Still no guesses? Here is another hint, the wheel you see in the first picture is missing a chain that goes "around" it....

| It's been ages since I've glanced at the module, so I could be completely off-base, but is it the Dragonlance module that takes place under Verminaard's keep? I seem to remember a great wheel and chain mechanism in it...
I admit, part of my guess stems from the draconian's presence.
Or... (again, keeping with the DL theme), is it the module where the heroes have to fly one of the floating citadels?

| The grid shows up much better than I initially thought, as you guys have said. Now I am down to one (albeit significant) reason I can't do this--the money. Even if there is a way to do it all for relatively little, it is on top of everything else I am spending and so I can't do it. It sure would be great if there was someone who was around where I lived that could invest the money to make dungeons look like that.
By the way, are the rooms separate from one another, so that the adventurers don't know where all the rooms are before exploring? | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

| Reflex1 has just about got it...
It is the catacomb of the Temple of Mishaka (?) from DL1. Strangely enough, I was not using in DL, but I like Draconians, so my heavily modified version still used them!

Well, it IS relatively cheap. The total cost of the plaster that you see there is about $10.00. The general material (insulation, paint and such) cost about $20.00, but they went on to base and paint about 10x more pieces. From the first picture, you can see 1 floor tile mold, the field stone wall mold, Gothic Accessory mold (alcoves), and lastly the 4 inch chipped stone tower. That is just 4 molds. GRANTED, using the gothic accessory mold for all the chippes tone walls would take forever, so you might as well throw in a 5th mold, the chipper wall mold.
5 molds is about $150. But again, I've made a TON more material that you what you see there for that money...

Yes, each room was seperate, and I used a standard Male/female type of constuction to allow me to easy keep them together, and not slide around. My intent was just that... place pieces as they are able to actually see them. That is why there is a gap up by the wheel in the first picture, they haven't turned that corner to look...
