I use bottle caps (from soda bottles) for the same thing. Except that I glue the base down instead off blue tack. But if this works for you then awesome!!!! I can also use the caps for mixing of paints and inks. This is just me [)] Very nice work on the elf spearguard.....[:D]

That is an awesome idea. I remember one of the most frustrating things for me when I used to paint was trying to hold that damn mini in my fingers and once it was put down trying to pick it up again without messing up the paint!! Very nice!

Give me more MIND FLAYERS!

Back when I still used a 35mm camera I ended up with a lot of film canisters that I saved. Open it up and invert it and tape/tack the mini to the end of the canister. They are a little over an 1" in Dia and are about 2" in length, giving plenty of room to hold and grab, much like the tubes above. They were also strong enough that you did need to worry about crushing the tube.

Built the addition for this addiction, now on to the "gaming table" project....

Nifty. I have a ton of the plastic tubes from cash register roles from when I used to wait tables plus some from buddies that worked at BW3s. I glue a cardboard square to the base for more stability (usually from DDM booster) and a round one up top to give even surface (again, ddm) then elmer's glue or poster tack mini on. They also work great for column supports. Still need to score my piece of plexi for aerial battles...

A painter here in the K.C. area does this with camera containers as well.
