Yeah I never liked the blue Cursed Spirit. It was begging for a repaint. Looks good. I espescially like the red-tinged soil/ground.

That's actually a mix of GW brown ink and GW flesh wash, thinned down with 60%-70% water. I put my sand and rock down, then use the wash, and pick out the stones later.

The Ghast is great. I like your take on the Curse Spirit better but I am still a believer that they should be transparent...maybe one of these days we can get that clear plastic [:D]

as usual, pro-work man!

Question: for someone who paints as well as you do, why do you spend time on the DDM minis instead of metal ones? If I had that kind of skill, I wouldn't spend the time on the plastic figures.

Because they are the only figures that look like "official" D&D. I really like the "new" look that 3rd edition brought with it, and the plastic D&D figures are the best example of it.

Also - the plastic figures paint up easier than metal. I get much better paint coverage on the plastic ones!

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense now you tell me the answer. [:)]
It's one of those questions that kept resurfacing every time I saw a phenomenal painting job on one of the non-rare minis.
