| Very Cool ... I love the Myconids and Lizardfolk. Is the snake greenstuff, or something else? | | | |

| The snake is greenstuff, rolled into a line, draped around his shoulders and a seperately attached head.
The wands, spears and staves are mostly just thin iron rods, cut to appropriate length. For the Myconid troopers, I made rock-like spearheads out of greenstuff. The Lizardfolk shaman's is bent slightly and covered with greenstuff to give it more substance and a natural feel. The Sahuagin's staff and the mindflayer's funky staff are spare weapons from lead minis.
The SWM mind flayers are "Quarren Assasins." They are uncommons and sell for about 50 cents on ebay. As they come, the skin is red-brown, and they hold guns, but it is a pretty easy conversion all things considered. | | Champion of the Green Hag

| I like the mindflayers the best, that's a great alternative to the $20 you'll spend on a "official" one.
I also like the lizardfolk with the snake, nice!

The Squid-Headded aliens from Star Wars are called Quarren.
The "Quarren Assassin" is an Uncommon mini from the 1st set Rebel Storm.
There are also Quarren Raiders in the second set Clone Strike but they are wearing pants and vests almost like Han Solo so would be much harder to convert.

| well, I will give the Quarren Assassin a try...I just bought 8 of them on eBay for 4 bucks and will try to do my first conversions; I have no idea how to make weapons and stuff, but the repaint and shaving the head to be rounder I think I can manage.
I also bought 4 Rebel Storm Gamorrean Guards, I think they could be turned into big bad@$$ orcs since they already kinda look the part. | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis
