| | Inspiring as always zanaroth! Every time I see your paint jobs, it remainds me of yet another mini I've been meaning to paint[:(]. I really need to find a way to have 60+ hour days to catch up on painting! | | | |

I perfectly understand you, this month I only made 2 minis (Balor and Death Slaad), and I started the third (mounted Drow), usually I can paint 4-5 minis per month, but now, work, girfriend, friends, sports, music,D&D, and another thousand hobbies keep me away from painting...me too I'm wanting to paint some minis you have (very well) already done...(the huges for example...)
Thanks to all.
to reply the first question from ShadowLord XT, the rocks are made by cork, and the base of the blue (as the chest, the left arm and the legs) is modified with green stuff.

| At least you guys are painting...[:(]
Last week of classes for me and no finals!! After that I am going to shackle myself to my paint desk. Lock myself away in my basement and get to painting.
Z question on the Blue Slaad. How did you twist his body? I have probably missed the thread where you spoke on this. Between all the posts of the balor and the slaadi (very nice jobs btw) and Runelord et al. stuff I realize I need a vacation....

| | I understand that individuals will always produce better results than something that is mass produced but I just gotta say that something as simple as a different pose and the spotting on the blue slaad has made it look 10 times beter than the original and it is something that could've easily been made from design. | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! | | You're right, I think that sometimes they (WotC) have made some really big mistake in sculpting the minis in some wrong pose or with some anatomic particular of the wrong size. Blue slaad is only one example, there are several more. | | | |

I've been working hard at the amount of time it takes to paint a single figure. I can now manage to get about one to two a night done, sometimes more if the figures are really similar.
I also keep my painting supplies mobile, so that I can be in the same room as Ms Rune while I'll painting (and she's on the computer, reading, watching T.V., doing any one of her hobbies.).

my times are 2-4 hours for a "simple" miniature, 6-15 hours for difficult minis (like the confrontation's minis or big conversion like Balor or Dragon...). I'm not (yet [)]) married, so my girlfriend isn't very happy to have me painting while we're out togheter[:D]
