Comments, critiques, and suggestions are welcome.

| Awesome work!. Been lurking over at the wotc boards and looking at your work for a long while now. I had already said this a long time ago that your medium earth elemental is one of the main reasons that inspired me to start repainting my minis. I even had to do one myself.
Indeed it is nice to see ya posting over here too [:D] | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis

| I loved the Sage--That's one I wouldn't mind having in my collection!
The work on Ragnara is something else, too. I wouldn't have thought that this PVC would lend itself to being converted, but you've done some great work.
And, like everyone else has said, the Azer is fantastic. | | Champion of the Werewolf Lord, Knight of Anything Duergar, and Squire of Things Gnollish List reset with the start of previews for each new set...got Chainmail®?

| Welcome Sulaco (and thank-you for sharing) I too have been a long-time (mostly lurking) admirerer over on the wizards boards - I copied Glumag's copy of your lava elemental - thanks for the inspiration [:D] I'm amazed (and envious) that you can get such good results so quickly. | | | |

| | Nice all around. My favourites are the Hobgoblin Impaler, Timber Wolf (the regular one's colour scheme is too similar to the Wolf), "Molten Lava" Earth Elemental, and believe it or not, the Sage. The Sage looks very nice in that two-tone blue. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

| Thanks all. Good to be here. In truth I actually signed up for a Maxminis account like the day it launched but that account seems to have vanished through disuse.
And thanks for the feedback on teh minis. The reason I can paint most of them so fast is twofold:
First, I am not a very good painter overall. I lack both the skill and time necessary to devote to really doing fine-quality work. Most of my 2 hous paints don't look appreciably better than my 20 minutes onse. When I realized that I focused instead on doing decent work fast until the day when I can finally devote proper time to the hobby.
Second, most fo them have less than 5 paint steps. Essentially it is basecoat, ink, drybrush, touchup, and dot the eyes.
The Azer Raider is a good example. I didn't even prime that one. I drybrushed a couple shades onto the fire -orange, yellow, and then white - without cleaning the brush (the blend the colours better), a once-over on the flesh with a slighlty thinned bronze colour (I wanted the base orange to show through a bit to suggest it was glowing with heat) and a quick touch-up to the metal bits of armor with the same bronze colour.
The Magma Elemental is another really quick one. I just did a gradated paint of yellow to red up the body (no primer) and then a quick semi-drybrush with black to hit the stony areas.
A couple of them - like the Sage - have more work put in with more care, and I actually spent a lot of time on the bulette, but as these are primarly tabletop play pieces I am using them also as practice pieces to get my hand back in to painting after a long absence.
Now I need to work on basing...
And someone mentioned that they'd never though of converting DDM figures. In truth it is actually far easier than with metal minis. The PCV cuts easily, you can shave things to fit, and Krazy Glue works perfectly to attach bits with no pinning or drilling required.
The center Ragnara (the dual-wielder) is a good example as her left arm is actually made up of three different pieces: - the original arm ends where the armor does - the middle part is the left arm of another Ragnara (long story) carved down to remove the shield and reshape it - the hand holding the wepon is actually the original weapon hand of the Ragnara on the right (the one with the staff).
A little Xacto work and some Krazy Glue and she was banged together in like 5 minutes.
Cheers! | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

Real polar bears have a very yellow tint so I went with that and did a yellow base, brown ink, white brush. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.
