| | I think those look great. Thanks for sharing them. I like them more because (1) they are the right size; and (2) it's easier to get multiples at a reasonable price. Now, it isn't easy for me to get multiples of those you made. But you were able to get multiples at a reasonable price. | | "Look to God and live." Just the three, but they are amazingly easy and I'm convinced I could crank another one out in about 10 minutes. All you need to do is: 1. Shave the extra cloth between the goblin's legs, 2. Shave a bit off the wolf's back, 3. Use a pin drill to drill a hole in the wolf and in the goblin's butt, 4. Pin it and secure with a dot of glue.

My primary concern is durability. I wouldn't want to go through all the hassle if the miniatures weren't as solid as non-altered ones. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

You could use a small piece of a metal paper clip (cut with tin snips or similar) to fill in the hole with the glue. That would improve the rigity in the link. You could also sand the paperclip (rough grit) to be sure the glue bonds to it. | | Trade & talk in real time on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis SOFTWARE: PC | PC (free) | MAC

This is my problem as well. I haven't been able to do it, yet. Even if they are commons, I haven't been able to do it. Maybe I should destroy a catfolk to rid myself of the fear! | Awesome work all around. If I may make a suggestion for the next one you do, just something that may look cool. See if you can hot water method the goblin's left arm so that it looks as though he holding onto the back of the wolf as well as his sword. May add something, may not.

| I didn't get a chance to take a pic, but I made a Mounted Goblin Frogrider for frogrodeo. I used a mounted gobbo from Mage Knight (repainted) on a Giant Frog (also repainted), with a wire wick from a candle fashioned into a lasso. It was sweeet!
I've been trying to get my Common soldiers in groups of 10, so I'd need 10 more SWGs and 10 T-Wolves... repainted so they look different from the SWG infantry... drooling, drooling... why do I hafta be stuck at work right now? WAH!

| | I think this thread and the sheer number of people who look like they are going to go to the hassle of making goblin worg riders lets WotC know that it looks like they should have done an uncommon goblin worg rider on medium base instead of the super detailed rare on a large base that they did. | | "Look to God and live." Indeed, but I think the problem was sculpting something that would work. It is easy to just shave a couple of minis and glue them together and a lot harder to design a miniature whose sculpt is feasible for production and still remains esthetically good.
The Halfling on Mastiff was a good example…crappy at best. I would imagine medium size mounted miniatures must be very hard to design, but then again I have 0 experience with their process so I could be horribly wrong in defending their lack of support for something we all want. | That's really good. Suddenly I want some more silent wolf goblins. Especially considering how diappointing the worg riding snig is. I mean come on. It is supposed to be a medium not a large. A large is not very useful.
