| I'm slowly getting some better pictures taken of minis I've finished. Unfortunately time is very limited. Here's a Tiefling Fighter (aka Tiefling Captain) I recently finished. Comments always appreciated.

| I like it. However, as I see the picture, the axe blade looks a little too much like the tiefling's skin coloration, and the hair color is very close to some of the lighter striping on the blade as well. Maybe darkening the blade would help a bit?

| The hair blends with the blade in part because they're fused together in the sculpt. [:)]
I'm thinking about darkening the hair a little rather than trying to repaint the axe. That would be a LOT less work. Also, that's a straight shot with my digital camera (overexposed one stop to highlight the highlights and blur out the background). No filters/photoshop work. I'm still playing around with the camera. It's not that easy to get good pics of minis with a digital camera (at least I haven't hit on the right combo yet). If I zoom in it comes out a little blurry and if I don't zoom and blow up the mini it goes a little blurry. Kind of a catch-22.

In that case then it looked all gray [:p] chainmail figures were all unpainted metal iirc...never bought one. | |

Actually it was shiny and silver (at least until my fingerprints darkened the pewter while assembling. I'll have to toss up an unprimed Chainmail mini one of these days (I just picked up a Displacer Beast so perhaps when it's assembled I'll post a pre-paint pic).

| Not bad at all zenthrus. I like the choice of colors and lichen on the base.
The only suggestion that I would make is to paint your base scenery. Small rocks and whatnot lend character, but if you don't at least ink them they appear too flat (really there's not enough reflective surfaces and deep recesses for good contrast).
