| | Anyone find a paint that is close the Orc skin color that Wotc uses now for all of their orcs? That greyish-blue color. I could mix something but I was wondering if anyone has found a good base to use. | | | |

| I've actually found that delta ceramcoat walnut mixed with dusty purple, and highlighted with cadet grey works well.

| | I just paints 'em green! Runelord's combo is an almost exact match (depending on the Orc in question since there's some variation...it's closest to the Eye of Gruumsh). | It is greyish blue? i though it was greeyish green! I don´t like orcs in full gray i rather them in green but more natural, not as shining as GW Warhammer orcs. I think that WOTC wants to make a difference. | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

Green Orcs is a GW idea. WotC are just sticking to Tolkien. | | | |

Tolkein orcs are "swarthy" rather thsn gray or green. [:)] DDM orcs are following the Chainmail orc master paint scheme which was bluish-gray skin. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. | Well about orcs i´m kind of new in comparison to many players that are players since the 70´.
For first color i though that orcs were green because i seen (like in the 90´s) an orc Painting for the Book of LOTR were orcs were green and have pig noses! then i see many orcs in green in several things, first was warcraft with almost cartoon the Warhammer Orks, then other orcs until i see lort of the ring where i see them in their greyish color! and i though "OH it is a nice idea to give orcs a more organic color, grey looks more real" maybe in the 90´s orcs fashion was green but now with LOTR movie, New Artwork and the D&D vision we have more realistic orcs in grey.

| | I found that Dark Gull Grey, is almost an exact match to the grimlock barb's skin color, which isn't far off from the orcs skin color. I got the grey out of those model painting sets they use for WWII planes. You know, the ones that come with 6 colors and and a couple brushes. Which is about the only kind of paint they sell out here besides a few primary colors. [:(] | | Champion of the Ixitxachitl | |

| | Heh even before things like Warcraft, etc..I always considered them as Green. And painted my miniatures with green skin. And then in D&DM most of them are grey and stuff like that. Oh well, I just consider there are many different colors of orcs, kind of like humans =) | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |
