| Hi All,
I'm looking for a place to buy medium size plastic crocs/alligators and sharks to mount for RPG. Has anyone found a source for these? I believe someone had posted pics of their crocs before the recent deletion, but I can't recall ever seeing sharks.

| | I get all my animals form the Dollar store and they can found in the right size too match. Or go to ToyRus but you'll pay more there. | |

| | Then just glue them too GW bases works the best for me. I get the bases pretty cheap. then i green the base up and use the odd stone too make them cooler looking. (but their other stuff is expensive). | |

TRUs does have the tubes of animals tho...so that might be better priced if you are looking for more quatities. | |

| Thanks for the response, guys. I've been scouting out the dollar stores, but haven't come across any medium size crocs or sharks - mostly bugs, snakes, lizards, etc. I'll have to try one of those tubes from TRU. Can someone tell me if they have ACTUALLY FOUND med. crocs and sharks in the tube assortments offered?
On a side note; at Dollar Tree I did come across some kick-ass mounted units, from packs of Knight and Ninja action figures. I got 20 horses on bases, knights, and lances/spears, plus extra foot soldiers for $4.00. They are just a little smaller than the mounted paladin, but still work with DDM scale. Of course the detail is not so good, but for cheap mounted units, they are fantastic). | |

I have not found the medium size crocs/alligators in the tubes but I have found giant frogs and snakes [:D]
Michael's did have crocs that were perfect for 25mm scale. They actually have a large variety of plastic animals of varying sizes. At least the one near my place has. | |

| Schliech toys makes some great animals, but they are larger than medium. Target has started to carry them, but usually I find them at those boutique toy stores like Once Upon a Toy. I have the crocodile and it has good detail and is about the right size. The miniatures zoo seems to have a good selection: http://www.mzoo.com/default.htm

| | there is also a pirates lego type game that can be bought that has a cool shark. theres also a giant octopus that could be used. probably around 8-10 us but i think they come with other things like treasure etc. most dollar stores and party stores(costumes etc sell bags of sharks sea creatures as tooys to give to young kids as party favors. i find great things at these type of stores | |

Well, I'm no good at figuring scales. So a pic might help. The croc is 6" X 2". The Schleich animals scales are all over the place. Take the iguana and croc....not quite the same scale.[:)]

Hey wicked cool, thanks for the leads. I think I did see the sea creatures legos on ebay, and they did look nice (especially the octopus - was there a ray?).
Crotalus, those Schliech animals are gorgeous! I may just order the croc pictured above (dire croc, anyone?)

| Well, I did find this site during my searching. It seems to have a good selection of many different types of animals in small (DDM Med or Large scale) sizes. The paint jobs on them are not so good, but they are relatively cheap - most are $1.00 or less. They do have sharks and crocodiles.
