| Werebear

This is a NPC in my D&D game, a Beorning (bearman race) Chieftan who will eventually either become and ally or nemesis for the players. I actually did this one like 8 months ago, I jsut forgot to include it with my last batch of paints.
Yes that is the mace head from a Cloud Giant. It is saddly illustrative of how undersized the weapon was that the head works for a creature half the Cloud Giant's size.
Kobold Soldier

Kobold Soldier (original, for reference)

A Kobold Soldier remade as the infamous Sludgé, a Kobald ("High Kobold", a PC race in my game) bounty hunter. The figure works perfectly for the character. I tried to capture the idea that he is looking over his shoulder at an enemy while doffing his flamboyant hat to cover up the motion of drawing his blade.
This figure marks my first use of greenstuff. The only tool I had to work with was a toothpick so it is a little crude, but it'll do for how. Again this is a pretty quick paintjob, though longer than most (about an hour) cos I was rushing to get it done before a D&D session. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. | Wow - that kobold is great! Is that all green stuff or swap outs from another mini? Either way, masterfully accomplished!
You're right on the cloud giant. He really needs better weapons (I was thinking about looking on ebay for one of the old Masters of the Universe weapon sprues for replacements).
Nice job on the Werebear.

Sorry, I should have been more specifc. The left hand and hat come from a Heroclix figure (Mad Hatter). The right hand and blade come from a Bladebearer Hobgoblin. The right gauntlet and the feather on the hat are greenstuff.
Oh, and the basing material is Chinese green tea over a coffee base. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

| The Kobold is realy cool looking conversion, that's some serious talent with the greenstuff there. The paint job is quite nice too, it makes me think of either a Swashbuckler or the Spanish Inqusition.
The Weapon Swap on the Bear looks great too, the mace ia much closer in scale to the WB than the Axe. Great Job on both of them! [:)] | | Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul
