I am still on spring break and was surfin over to the Reaper site and saw this bit of sad news...

From the Reaper site:
Posted on 03-20-06
Friday night we learned of the passing of legendary sculptor Dennis Mize. Dennis is probably best known for his years of work at Ral Partha where his technical quality and eye for detail set the standard for sculpting that still exists to this day. We were fortunate enough to have Dennis do occasional work with us for a few brief years, and we consider ourselves lucky to have been able to work with such a generous person and talented artist. He will be missed.

This is to bad as there is a lot of his stuff that was pretty stellar. Good artists are rares. Good sculptors are more so....

Thoughts are with the family...

Man, that's a great loss to the miniature world. Thoughts with all mourning.

I saw this over at Reaper the other day. Mize was indeed one of the better sculpters.

Bummer. He had a nice eye for design and a good fist for sculpting.

Morbid thought:
I wonder if his miniatures will be worth more now, like how paintings shoot up in value when the painter dies.

Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

Over the centuries, mankind has tried many ways of combating the forces of evil... prayer, fasting, good works and so on. Up until Doom, no one seemed to have thought about the double-barrel shotgun. ~ Terry Pratchett

Bummer. [:(]

His work could indeed go up in value.
