There are 8 PCs (4 players) in my group now, but the new comer has been with us for 2 weeks now and I didn't buy him reaper minis to paint. I'll owe him that, maybe [)]. However the other 6 I did because I wanted to celebrate our change from our old school/custom rules to the d20 3.5 system, so to conmemorate I bought them the 6 reaper minis they chose for their character and painted them and based them...now mind you, we have been playing for 3 months already and I just got around at taking the damn pictures, so the minis are a bit used and dirty looking; hope you like them.

The party consist of:

Gnome Wizard, standing on mud, leader of the party and tons of fun

Human Cleric of Kord; the reaper mini was intended for an evil cleric, but since this guy is supposed to be from the north it fit, I just tried to mask as much as I could all the evil symbols and what not since he is CN.

An Elven Bard, yup...completely copied Legolas, he wanted it that way. The string is just a peachy tone thread glued with a drop of zap-a-gap at each end.

Female Human Monk. Yup, first time one of our players is doing the female thing, so far so good; but with a CHA of 6 it is kind of easy [)] I tried my hardest to make the silk effect.

Half-elf Ninja, whose name is Aj-nin...you cannot get more original [:p] he is afraid of heigths and can't jump worth a damn...hillarious but will back-stab you in base of your skull.

Half-orc Ranger, this dude is a tank and everything represented on him is luckily exactly what the PC is using. He was my first attempt at basing using the grass. [:D]

All the others minis are using fine sand painted as grass. I also put them on plastic bases a la DDM just to keep it consistent, except for the ninja that came with the square base and the slot-type hole...hate those.

Note how I am also practicing with different ways of taking pictures...no flash, over-exposures, zooms, etc. Hope they are ok and to your liking.

I like the Gnome wiz the best.

Skulls on the knees of the cleric still scream evil to me [:p], but nice detail on the armor.

The monk is showing an awful lot of cleavage, did you read the gender swap thread in roleplaying. [)]

Thje half orc ranger really does look like a tank, he looks scarey and intimidating..... well except for the bunch of grapes hanging firm his belt.

seriously though they all look good and capture the description you gave pretty well. All the detail on the clothing and armor is exceptional.

A very nice set of minis. The silk effect you mentioned comes throught nicely (even on my crappy monitor here at the shop). The string on the bow is a nice touch. Keep it up.

The cleaage is not my fault, I don't cast the minis [:p] but yeah, she is showing and I did put some shadows in there to make it pop [)]

When I saw the 'grapes' on the ranger I understood them as bark and tried painting them that way. [:)]

It took me 10 days at 3 hours a day to get them done.

[:D] heheh! He used to be the tank although closely followed by the cleric of Kord. Now with the addition of another cleric and an actual fighter there is no contest, fighter just schooled them on the importance of great cleave on the last session [:D]

Excellent work, glumag.

The colors on the monk are outstanding, and the cleric is a great piece--but I don't understand why he has gargoyles on his knees. [:p] Are his shins particularly susceptable to evil? [}:)]

And another reason to not like ninjas. I'm not saying anything about your painting skillz, but ninja drive me nuts. It's like they walk into a shop and go "I'll take it, but do you have it in a darker shade of black?" It's personally frustrating, that's all. [:o)] Yes, I'm strange.

Tons of details on the belts, buckles, fur etc. That right there makes them stand out as good. Awesome job, just hope your players were appreciative of recieving with the time and effort you put in to them.

You see! There ARE others out there just like me. What? Why are laughing?

I do really like the string you put on the bow. Also, the gnome wizard is excellent. I have painted that one before, and I like your version more.

That monk isn't showing cleavage...you should see the Chainmail Swiftwing Disciple alternate sculpt. She's showing some cleavage! [:D]

I'm a big fan of putting strings on bows. Considering how big of a pain in the arse it is many kudos [^]

Very nice Glumag - I think I like the Gnome best.
The yellow hair is a bit too yellow for my taste.
The painting on the monk looks very good, but I can't get over my total hate of the sculpt [:p].
You've done a good job on the ninja (at least he doesn't look like he fell in a bucket of black paint [:)])
and the Half orc looks good too (heaps of little details which really make it stand out).
As I said at the top, very nice. [:)]

Nice work on the Reapers glumag. I like the attention to detail with regards to covering up as much evil as you could with the Cleric of Kord. Aj-nin, that's about as original as how I got my main character's name.

Thanks, you must've missed my Frost Giants and the Hydra [:p] besides that I have my ddm repaints...noob at painting but getting there in practice.

Ninja's are a pain to paint because well, they are usually all black or blue and they are boring. The pictures are a bit dark (depending on the monitor settings) but he has blue, silver and iron colors on it too.

I had the most fun painting the gnome and the half-orc, a lot of details on them and that is why I left them for the end [:D]

I've seen strings put on bows before so I figured I try my luck with that and I was satisfied; the way I did it was tyo tie a knot at one end then apply the glue at the opposite end, once dry i removed the obvious knot parts and excess; then i grabbed tweezers and gently put rub the string on the glue and the I pulled tight and placed the string at the other end and waited a couple of seconds...that aint going nowhere [:D]

Glad you all like the work. My players love them and they laugh about it because they tell me "I know you are not going to kill them any time soon, you put to much effort on them" They are kinda right [}:)]

Nice work. Good job on the basing for the half-orc. Do you add epoxy to the bases?

Thx!. Nope, I used citadel glue and zap-a-gap to adhere the fine sand and the rocks.
