| Here's my version of the "Aspect of Fire" (Aspect of Kord as Fire Giant). I was experimenting with "realistic" fire effects and gem effects and generally quite pleased with how things turned out.
Sorry about the pictures. My work area is a bit of a mess so I had to take pictures in sub-optimal lighting (in a different spot than normal).

| | Great blending on the hair. Kord doesn't really look much like the stereotypical Fire Giant, but your paint is great, and reminiscent of the Deities and Demigods (3rd edition) Surtur, so all's good. | | Champion of the Entire Monster Manual 1! | I love the hair, and the boots and gloves. At this size picture, the layering on the skin looks like it needs smoothing out, but it's probably less of a problem in real life. Very Nice.
Edit: that's what I get for being a slow typer - someone steals my comment [)]

I adapted the hot-lead method for painting fire (just subbed in appropriate paint colors from what I had). This method works spectacularly for painting fire-effects [:D]
I'm quite pleased with the boots/gloves myself. They're a huge pain (since I blend three colors on each scale). It doesn't show very well in the picture but his belt is also red-dragon skin to match his boots/gloves. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? | This one is much better than the frost, the hair is superb.
I really need to get me some aspect of kord minis; can't do anything with just the one. | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis

| | Very nice repaint. By now it sounds like a broken record I'm sure but great work with the hair. | | Champion of the Tohr-Kreen. WotDQ Called Shot: Fang Dragon. | |

| Very nice. The eyes in the first picture look great (they have that "I'm really miffed off" look!).
Please don't take offence, but I'd like to add a little constructive critism. If it was up to me, I would change the green belt gem. The other colors complement each other well. The red in the hair and his gloves / boots are your bold colors, and the white on the furs draws a nice contrast. The green is a little out of place with the rest of your pallet. Otherwise excellent job!

| The picture doesn't show the highlights in his pupils. I'm rather pleased with how the eyes turned out [:D]
The green in the belt was a nod to "magic color theory." Since the predominant coloring is red "in theory" something should be green to balance the colors. I'm not so sure I got the mix right, though.
Definitely don't be afraid to critique. I wouldn't bother posting them if I didn't expect/want constructive criticism from people who paint better than I do [:D] | | Knight Warlord a.k.a.
