What’s the best way to remove old paint.

I recently acquired some badly painted minis both Metal and Plastic and want to remove the old paint. I don't want to damage the mini and wanted to find out what others use.

Thanks

I use Simple Green, (supposedly) safe and non-toxic. Sometimes it takes more than one dip to get everything off though.

On your metal figures just buy a bottle of Testor's acrylic stripper and paint the figure with that. The paint will just melt off of it. Do not use that on wizards plastic as the figure might also melt. If you have not sealed the paint yet just scrub the hell out of it with a toothbrush and soapy water.

Evil triumphs when good men fail their morale saves.

Thanks for the info.

Will the Simple Green damage plastic? Also where can I find it?

I'll try the Acrylic stripper on the metal minis.

Simple green is safe on plastic, you can find it either in the automotive section, or the cleaning section in most retail stores. This stuff is great for getting just about anything clean.
