I have a weird question. I have painted ofrf and on for quite a while, but I recently picked up a mini with one of those slotted, plastic bases. What do you do with them to make them stay and stand upright?

Generally, you superglue the mini into the slot, then fill in any gaps in the slot with greenstuff.

Making a slight dogleg in the tab with a pair of pliers can help hold the mini in place until your superglue dries.

I've found that putting a drop of superglue on the end of the tab then placing the tab flush with one end of the slot adds stability (generally speaking. Starstrike Archers refuse to stand up straight for anything [XX(]).

This is in addition to the usual drop or two on the sides of the tab.

One of my friends employs a technique where he holds onto the figures slotta tab with some foreceps. It gives him pretty much a 360 degree work angle on the mini. When he's done painting he simply glues it into the base after dogleging the tab.

Pathetic Earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void - without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe - anything at all - you would have hidden from it in terror.

Thanks guys. I think I need a little filler for this one as the gap is pretty loose.

I just take some pliers and cut the tab right in the middle. Then bend one tab forward and one backward. Then just hold the figure upright until your glue sets. After that I fill in the bottom with model plane gap filler.
