Entries will close at midnight on the 1st of July (maxminis time) - (technically I think it's midnight on the 2nd, but you know what I mean).

| In case you've forgotten what this is about, here's the rules again:
Official Challenge Rules.
To be part of this challenge, you need to:
1. Paint one (or both) of the chosen minis, (either a total repaint, or just a touchup is acceptable - but the difference needs to be noticable). Basing is optional. Whether you paint 1, 2 or 6 minis, there will only be one entry per person in the prize draw.
2. Post a picture (or 2) of the mini(s) in this thread - entries will be accepted until midnight (maxminis time) next Saturday (1st July).
Please make sure pictures are cropped closely round the mini, and no taller than 6 inches - if you can't do this, send the picture to me (a link for my email is in my signature) and I'll format it - only appropriatly formatted picures will be entered in the prize draw.
Any comments should go in the comments thread.
3. I will randomly draw a prize winner from all the entries (the quality of the painting will have no bearing on the result - the prize is to encourage participation by painters of all abilities). I will roll a dice in the maxminis irc channel, in case anyone wants to verify the roll.
4. The prize will be a choice of one of my spare rares - either what is currently spare (Marut, WarTroll, Hill Giant Chief, Khumat, Shuluth, Dragon Totem Hero), or, something from WotDQ (if the winner is willing to wait). The winner can also choose a mini to be painted for the next challenge.

| Only painted the dwarf -- the blood ghost just didn't inspire me enough. Nothing fancy here, just improving on the original poor paint job.
 
Unfortunately I'm on holidays when the prize is drawn so I won't know until the middle of July who wins!

| Thought I'd do something a little different and do it up as a Fire Dwarf (or a Fire Giant psychic warrior using compression, AKA a really unpleasant surprise for my players). [}:)]

| Decided against a multitude of tiny touch-ups on both. Original pale blood ghost and a more mundane dwarf.

| I was running short on time and hadn't started the repaints. Though it's embarrasing to mention this feeble effort in light of Direbadger's magnificent repaint, it was his repaint that gave me the inspiration to touch up the beserker's skin to be the sallow bugbear color. So, here we go: based, and extensively touched up but not fully repainted (most of the fur and a couple parts of the armor are still the original paint).

| Since I got lucky and won last time, I don't want my name included in the drawing, but still wanted to show support. Didn't get around to the bugbear, but here is my take on the frost dwarf.

I don't know how well it comes out here, but the way I painted it was inspired by the flavor text of the berzerkers painting themselves white before battle. I painted all the skin and fur before giving it a heavy drybrush of a light greyish blue, highlighting up to off-white as if the bugbear had smeared himself with white clay or mud. Hopefully for the next one I can figure out some better patterns to give his smeared red body paint. | |

| Here's my pictures of my Blood Ghost Berserker. I have only added 4 colours of paint here, and would like to work this piece a little more to see how much more I can do. I like the way he now looks more like a typical bugbear. Enjoy!
