| | I just picked up a harbinger Vandania where the upraised arm is half-broken at the elbow. It dangles loosely by a small strip of plastic. What glue is safe to use on the mini if I wish to raise the arm up and stabalize it in place? Right now I have Elmer's and crazy glue. | | | |

| Crazy glue (aka CA or cyanoacrylate glue) works well. Go to the local hobby store and ask for CA glue and they can hook you up. For gluing small pieces, you can also get an accelerator to speed cure the glue. Makes alignment problems easier if you can get it to set instantly.
It's worth saying again that CA glues will nearly instantly bond skin to just about anything so don't get any on ya. [)] | | Any time you try to make something idiot-proof, someone always goes out and invents a better idiot. Champion of Siege Equipment

| When using crazy/super glue remember that less is more. Most of the time, a single drop is sufficient. In some cases (Vadania's arm would likely be one of those cases), I'd apply a single drop, then dab with a paper towel to remove the excess.
Using the least amount of glue necessary is good because it ensures stronger bonds and faster dry times.
Always let your mini sit overnight after gluing if you plan to apply any paint [:D] | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? Champion of Dwarven Thunderlashers Knight of the Large Dire Chicken Have/Want List Trade References

True. Cyanoacrylate glue actually works better the less you use. And don't scuff up the parts being joined; it also works better flat-to-flat. The less textured the better. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.
